Scope for advancement: Whilst Optus has launched one of their most aggressive campaigns to date by the Sydney Morning Herald, they has also sweetened a deal with a $52million contract renewal with The Department of Immigration to extend their services for another 2 more years. Whilst partnering with Google with the “Clever Buoy initiative, the Optus CMO has said that the company is moving away from sponsorships, which I believe will create more opportunities within the business.
Salaries: Glass Door provides an estimate for graduate positions ranging from $52-$58K annually and to progress from a graduate to a Software Designer $100 – $124K per annum. As well as paying above the reward wage they provide bonuses and expenses such as paying $50 off your total phone/internet bill.
Marketing/PR: Optus has recently appointed the world renown M&C Saatchi appointing Chiquita King to manage their advertising account whilst working with Optus’s in-house advertising team. I believe Optus has hit the marketing well this year with their customer focused approach.
