Creating Start Up Pages Desktop can be set to open any page automatically when you log in. Adding a page to the Startup folder: • • •

Filtering a Browser Report Click in the cell which contains the value you want to filter by. In the example to the left, Account 2011 has been selected. Click the Filter icon
on the icon tool bar.
Only the rows where the Account is 2011 are shown. The filter command can be used again within the filtered set of data. To return to the original report click Find
or press [F7].
Searching Using Wildcards Wildcards enable you to find data in Desktop by using an extract of text rather than the full name of what you are searching for. The following wildcards may be used in any search field: • ? The question mark represents a single alpha/numeric character
• * The asterisk can be placed before, after, or at either end of a search term. The table beneath details how this changes the search using “learning” as an example. *learning*
This will return all entries containing the word “learning”

Introduction to Desktop Search for Codes (i.e. Suppliers, Customers, Products, Projects, and Account Codes) Step 1 Open the relevant master file. Click in the field containing [NEW]. Press [F9] to open the Value lookup screen.
Step 2 Click Find or press [F7] to populate the Value lookup screen.
Step 3 To find rows containing specific values click the blank grey field in the column you wish to search. Type part of the name you are seeking, using wildcards (*) to help your search. Step 4 Click Find or press [F7] to filter the results based on your search criteria. Searching is not case-sensitive. Double-click the record you wish to review. Step 5 Check that the correct record number has been returned to the Master file, and then press [Tab] to retrieve the associated data.

Introduction to Desktop Menu Branch Controls Right-clicking any item in the Desktop Menu pane displays a list of ‘mouse menu’ options.
Expand/Collapse branches
Expands or collapses every folder in the Menu.
Send to > Startup / Personal Menu
Add a page to your Startup menu (to have it open when you log in) or to your Personal menu (for easy access).
Refresh menu
If you have added shortcuts or start pages refresh the menu for the new item to be shown.
Screen Options The Options pane (left) is accessed through the File menu. Select your preferred default window size. Select your table preferences. Select your setup preferences. Select themes and menu styles. Click Apply to apply changes but stay in the Options window. Click OK to apply changes and close the options window. NOTE: For some changes to take effect Agresso may need to be restarted.
Finding a Screen Step 1 Click the Search tab on the Menu pane . Step 2 Insert the name or part of the name of the screen you are searching for in the search field. You can also search for screen names, e.g. VP10 is the name of the Transaction Screen. Step 3 Click Search. The results are displayed. Step 4 Double-click any screen in the search results to open it in the Working Area. Or Right-click the screen you have searched for and click Show in menu.
