Insel(2004), nutrients are the nourishing substances in food that are growth, essential for the
development and maintenance of body functions.
What essential means is that if a nutrient is not present, the aspects of function will also be missing out and therefore human health decline. And when nutrient intake does not regularly meet the nutrient needs required by the cell activity, the metabolic processes will slow down or even stop. How does a right food works? | There is no such things as a list of right foods. For instance, the potato that most people would consider it as an unhealthy food because of its carbohydrates characteristic however that is not the case. Potato also contains a good source of vitamin B6, which break down our stored carbohydrates and other nutrients to help maintain our blood sugar levels, vitamin c that creates collagen in the body, a protein that makes the skin, joints and bones strong and other beneficial nutrients. There are a few factors which decide whether it is a food that is good for our bodies or not; one of them can be the

additionally, the types of seasoning used (Fig 2.1) can equally define the quality of the food. The calories and the nutrients will then also adjust according to the serving that it is taken. Ideally, a food would only consider good if only it consists of the amount of food nutrients that each individual is require to take in. If we do not get the right information, our metabolic processes suffer and our health declines. If wrong information or too much information are taken, there is a possibility of our bodies being undernourished, overweight, and at risk for the development of diseases and conditions, such as arthritis, diabetes, and heart disease.
In short, nutrients command our bodies about on how to function. If we think about food in the perspective of nutrition that goes beyond calories or grams, good foods or bad foods, it will leads us to focus on foods that we should includes. In this way, we are able to look food as a way to create health and reduce disease by helping the body maintain function. Leading causes and its implications | The most obvious one and everyone will definitely leads food to, is overeating. Overeating causes obesity and on another extreme level- anorexia. Obesity results when someone regularly takes in more calories than needed. Calories come from the energy stored in the foods we eat. They come from carbohydrates, fats, alcohol and
Booklet Layout
This is a booklet layout done to illustrate and explain the product produced. This product was conceptualized with the notion of how food intake is directly related to one’s health. Given that most of the food served today come with generous proportions of gravy and oil, consumers are now more prone to consuming excessive amounts of calories. This subsequently leads to detrimental effects on their health. With this in mind, the product is designed to reduce the amount of gravy and oil one can consume by separating extra gravy and oil from other food.
