Introduction This is a design of the process of fabricating shelter structuremade from mdf wood and connection systems that make it easy to be assembled by very little man power.Being a shelter I wanted the design to be able to perform under different conditions. This meant having isulation against thermal changes, water and pollutants. So i designed a double skinned shell that would bear it own weight via optimised shell structure systems. I decided to use six side polygons to archive a pleasing geomtry and coherent panels throughout the design.

Formfinding start from approximate outlines of the design to get right proportions
The outlines areturned to arcs and lofted to get the surface that represents the desired shape of the shell
The shell surfaceis subdivide into six sided polygon which share edges and has approximately equal lengths in edges
The polygons and the surface are eed into kangaroo solver ot get planar polygons that still retains most o the original constraints.Consquently this process actually turns most o the geometry iinto hexagonal planar polygons
Some of the polygons are offested via a parameter to allow for light and ventialtion into the inside envoroment.

Assembly of the panel is done on the structure itself. Starting withthe lower panel being placed in place and hed there with scafolding.
Then the connection elements are brought to be placed on the before prepared hole on the panels andloosely hold them in the right angle.
The connection pieces are attached via m8 screws to the panels.
Then the toppanels are inserted the the tooth like gaps to have the tight and in the right angle. A soft mallet can be used to hit the panels in place to make sure they it well

The connection elements are created via profile cnc routint a profile with a unique angle for every singleconnection. The Connection are completely plannar and the they connect to the two layers via a tooth like connection on one side and protrusion that accepts a screw boltfrom the other panel.
