Preliminary figures for the first half of 2019 are recording a median unit price of $430,000 across the Catchment and $423,000 across the wider Gold Coast area. The Chevron Island Catchment has generally recorded a higher median unit price than the wider Gold Coast area.

Over the past five years, weekly rental rates across the postcode of 4217 (includes Chevron Island) have grown by 3.1 per cent per annum for one-bedroom units, 3.9 per cent per annum for two-bedroom units and 2.3 per cent per annum for three-bedroom units. There are minimal rental apartments advertised in the Chevron Island Catchment area which contributes to the premium achieved across new products. Nearby, Surfers Paradise is dominated by short-term accommodation options to cater to the consistent demand from tourism and contributing to the limited permanent rental opportunities.
