Back in the 1920s, the world’s toughest endurance races were dominated by a small band of British drivers and their Bentleys. With skilful driving and a great deal of courage, the original Bentley Boys earned a place in racing history, and started a tradition that continues today.

Endurance motorsport is designed to test both car and driver, and demands the best of the best. Our group of modern day Bentley Boys is split across two Continental GT3 cars: #7 and #8. In Car #7 we have returning British Bentley Boys Guy Smith and Steven Kane, alongside new driver Oliver Jarvis, a previous winner of both Sebring 12 hours and Daytona 24 hour races. 3. THE CAR . THE CONTINENTAL GT3: LUXURY & PERFORMANCE IN A RACE CAR The iconic silhouette says everything – The Continental GT3 is based on the road-going Bentley Continental GT. With of course some adjustments. If you’re going to challenge on circuits as demanding as Spa and the Nürburgring, the accessories that made the Continental such a luxurious performance Grand Tourer need to make way for pure unadulterated speed and power. So, gone are the double-glazing, veneer, leather trim, over fifty ECUs and extensive electrical systems. That combined with carbon fibre panels has shed 1,000kg in weight, which provides the powerful 4.0-litre twin-turbo engine even more opportunity to propel the car beyond the competition.

HELLISHLY GOOD ENDURANCE RACING 27 & 28 MAY 2017 One of the most famous tracks in the world, ‘the green hell’ is renowned as one of the greatest circuits.

The 24-hour touring car and GT endurance-racing event combines the Nordschleife and Grand Prix Circuit. This 25-kilometre circuit rises and falls over 1,000 feet in altitude across 170 corners, which includes the fabulous 210 degree banked corner Karussel. After a year hiatus, Bentley Team M-Sport are looking to take victory at 2017. Recognised as the ultimate test for both driver and machinery, this is the race for people who crave heart-stopping excitement. With 200 cars involved, simply watching this endurance event will leave you exhausted. Given the drama guaranteed every year, this could be the one event you cannot afford to miss. Having played host to several grand prix, motorcycle races and GT Endurance races, Paul Ricard is one of the most advanced motorsport facilities in the world. With distinctive colourful run-off areas, you’ll find no gravel traps on this course. Blue strips made from a mixture of asphalt and tungsten, and a ‘red zone’ with an even more abrasive surface all serve to slow cars. With its own private airport, hotels and restaurants, this is a circuit built as much for the unrivalled hospitality available to spectators as it is drivers. With one of the fastest straights in the world and a team focused on reclaiming first place, having finished second in 2015, there should be plenty of heat in the Riviera this season. The first Total 24 Hours of Spa was held in 1924, using nine miles of public roads between the towns of Francorchamps, Malmedy and Stavelot. A purpose-built track was soon developed incorporating some of those early parts of the course, including arguably the world’s most famous piece of racetrack, the fearsome Eau Rouge corner.
