Growing your own edibles gives you fresh veg at your fingertips, and choosing grafted vegetable varieties is a surefire recipe for success

If you’re new to grow-your-own, and you don’t have space to raise your own veg from seed, grafted plants are a great way to start. Grafted vegetable plants are strong and healthy, and they’re specially grown to give you the best chance of success. The result is bigger harvests that often ripen earlier, too. You can now buy grafted vegetables in a variety of sizes, and grow them on in a large container or a peat-free grow-bag. But remember to keep your baby veg plants indoors, or in a greenhouse, until after the last frost. Here are some of our favourite grafted varieties for 2023.
