The Following images describe a Brownstone renovation for a private residence in the historic neighborhood of Clinton Hill in Brooklyn that I completed while employed at The Design Alliance. All drawings were completed and arranged by me, with the direction of the supervising architect, Gary Maranga. All represented images and drawings within this project are the sole property of The Design Alliance of Brooklyn, NY

Front Mofications

Above: historic tax photo that was taken circa 1940 To bring back the existing facade to its original state, the changes made to the facade were based off an historic photo taken of the Italniate facade. Subtle modifications were made in accordance with client desires, but adhered to strict regulations set forth by the Landmarks Preservation Commission. Window lintels are being brought back, and the decorative elements: the front entry consol, and rooftop cornice, are being restored and repainted to match the original paint color.

Proposed Modifications

The rear facade will have its existing fire escape relocated to align with a new deck that is being proposed. Additionally, the existing basement door leading to the rear yard and window is being replaced by a larger, double door with metal gate in front. The following drawings detail the new rear deck addition

Some internal walls are being demolished, as shown by darker poche, and new windows and lighting are being installed.
