SCRIPTURE PASSAGE: 2 Kings 4:1-37 BIBLE STORY SUMMARY: After one of the prophets dies, his wife asks Elisha what to do because her husband’s creditors are going to take her sons as slaves. Elisha creates a plan to provide oil for her to sell and save her sons. Another woman makes a place for Elisha to stay when he travels near her home. In return, God provides her with a son. When he is older, he becomes sick and dies, but Elisha returns and brings him back to life. LESSON FOCUS: 

God wants to help people who please Him and delight in Him.

Sometimes God’s help depends on us obeying Him.

WHAT WE LEARNED ABOUT GOD: 

God helps us when we ask Him for help.

When we are doing things that please God, He can help us in return.

Nothing is too hard for God.
