ARE YOU READY TO STEP INTO MEMBERSHIP? The following pages will help you better understand life at Berean Baptist Church by giving you an overview of our mission and strategy for growth as a follower of Jesus. At the end, you will have the opportunity to apply for membership, which at Berean, helps you go beyond simply attending to partnering with us by investing in the people, ministries, and the future of the church.
ENCOUNTER//CONNECT//SERVE
The “BIG 3” is our strategy for spiritual growth. We ask all members to regularly “Encounter” God together with the gathered church in one of our Sunday services, “Connect” with other believers by joining a Connect Group (our small groups) or be an engaged participant in an adult Sunday School class (Adult Bible Fellowship), and “Serve” in a ministry in or outside the church that fits your giftings and passions.
MISSION VISION VALUES If you’ve been around awhile, you have experienced how Berean flows, but you may be curious about our Vision, Statement of Faith and church governance. We strongly encourage you to read through these documents which you can find here:
OUR VISION STATEMENT OF FAITH After you’ve had a chance to familiarize yourself with our core beliefs and direction, you’ll be ready to fill out the membership application, which you can now do right here online from the comfort of your own home, or whereever else you may be.
SIX EXPECTATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP The application will ask for information about the following six requirements that will be necessary in your role as a member.

CHRIST-FOLLOWER. It is essential that our members have a clear understanding of salvation and know when their relationship with Jesus Christ began. If you’d like a simple explanation of what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, you may click HERE.

BAPTISM. We believe that the Bible is clear about God’s desire for each of us to make a public profession of faith through baptism. If you haven’t been baptized since accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, just mark “No” when asked on the membership application, and we will contact you. ENCOUNTER. We believe the primary and essential experience in the life of a growing, maturing Christfollower is consistent and committed attendance on Sunday mornings to worship with the gathered church. The desire we have for our members is that they make corporate worship a prioirty in the life of their family.

CONNECT. At Berean Baptist Church, we equate membership with engaged and connected involvement in an on-going small group environment (i.e. Connect Group or Adult Sunday School class) because life is better connected. SERVE. Serving in a ministry you’re passionate about is possibly the best part of being involved in the local church. If you are NOT yet serving at Berean, please click HERE so we can help you get plugged in. If your current weekly schedule and/or season of life prevents you from connecting in a group and serving regularly in the church, please indicate that in your application.

GIVE. Our members are so excited about how God is changing lives here at Berean that we personally express our gratitude by regularly giving to Berean’s ministries.
