You will meet regularly, one-on-one, with someon e who genuinely cares about you and your circumstances.
Ever Thought of Becoming a Stephe

Step hen Ministers offer care, encouragement, and provide emotion al and spiritual support to people who are going through a difficult time, such as divorce, grief, hospitalization, unempl oyment, terminal illness, relocation, chronic illness, or loneline ss. If you have gifts for caring, encouragement, and liste ning, please begin to prayerfully consider whether you mig ht want to be part of this exciting ministry. To learn more about Stephen Ministry , contact Kari Peterson at 952.223.1848 or karip@bereanbaptis t.com.
At Berean, we equip Marriage Mentors to be key players in preventing marital problems by coaching couples with the skills and tools for more successful relationships. Our Marriage Mentors help both engaged couples and those who are married to talk about the hopes, dreams, and expectations they have for their marriage. They concentrate on the couple’s strengths and what’s good in their relationship. Marriage mentors are not counselors. Our mentors are trained to know when and how to refer a couple to a licensed, professional counselor, if needed. If you would like to have a Marriage Mentor or join the ranks of the Marriage Mentors, please contact Pastor Brent Birdsall at 952.223.1806.
MILITARY SUPPORT Berean understands the challenges that are faced by those serving our country and their families, and we want to help. Our mission is Biblical and non-partisan. CHILDREN’S BAPTISM February 26 and April 29
Baptism is a public way to identify with Christ and tell outwardly that we belong to Christ (Romans 6:3-4). Boys and girls can follow the example of Jesus who was baptized by John even though He was without sin (Matthew 3:13-1). If a boy or girl would like to learn more about baptism, they should attend an upcoming class. For more information, see page 15.
GOD’S SPECIAL FLOCK (GSF) One-on-one special care for children with special needs is provided on Sunday mornings to mainstream children who need help coping with a classroom setting. We assign special companions when desired. Companions not only help a GSF child maximize time in the class setting, but also helps the other children realize the value placed on each and every child by our creator, God. Questions? Please contact Kim Phillips.
Enjoy a great meal and an all student talent show.

Worship Ministries HANDBELL CHOIR
Rehearsal: Sundays, 6-7pm, Room 112 Handbells add variety and interest to the worship services approximately once a month and at Christmas and Easter. Plus, they are fun to play! Anyone age 16 and over, with the ability to read music and the willingness to commit to the rehearsal time, is welcome. For more information, contact Clare Boyer.
DRAMA Our drama ministry enhances the theme of Vacation Bible School as well as produces videos and skits for sermon illustrations and announcements. If you are gifted in the dramatic arts or interested in video production, please contact Dana Ward.
ORCHESTRA
VIDEO MINISTRY & TECHNICAL ARTS TEAM
Berean features the orchestra for special events and projects such as Christmas Concerts, Easter and on highlighted Sunday services. The orchestra adds fullness and depth to the choir and congregational singing. It also provides special musical numbers in the 8:30am Sanctuary service and for special occasions. Requirements are: competency on an instrument, attendance to scheduled rehearsals, and availability to play at the scheduled performances. For more information, contact Clare Boyer.
Gadgets, gismos, and God are the focus of the “tech team” here at Berean. Most of our ministries rely on the use of technical support in the form of sound, lyrical support, lighting, and video transmission. We could use you on our team! We will provide training on the equipment and ask for involvement one to two times per month. This is a ministry for all ages! Questions? Contact Kay Larson.
WORSHIP TEAM
CHILDREN’S CHOIRS
Rehearsal: Wednesdays, 5:45-6:40pm
Rehearsal: Thursdays, 7-9pm The worship team assists in leading worship during the contemporary services. This team is open to those age 16 or older who are comfortable singing parts and are able to improvise. Instrumentalists/vocalists must be able to practice on their own time and come prepared for rehearsal. The worship team leads during both contemporary services, and in special worship services throughout the year. If you are interested in auditioning for the worship team, please contact Kay Larson.

A younger choir for four year olds is also available by early registration, due to size limitations. The spring program is tentatively scheduled for April 22. Pencil this in on your calendars! For more information, contact Worship Ministries staff.
Rehearsal: Wednesdays, 6:45-8:15pm The Sanctuary Choir is for anyone age 16 and over, who can sing, learn, and hold their own part. The choir regularly sings in the Sanctuary service (8:30am) and also participates in concerts throughout the year. For more information, contact Clare Boyer.
WORSHIP CHOIR
Rehearsal: Thursdays, 7-9pm (when scheduled) Berean’s worship choir is an exciting and relatively new addition to Worship Ministries! If you can carry a tune and love to sing (singing parts is not necessary), this is the place for you! Contact Kay Larson for more information.

BAPTISM
February 26 and April 29 Baptism is the external expression of our inward and personal faith. It declares “Jesus is Lord” in a public and visible fashion, announcing to everyone that we have surrendered to a new authority in our lives. Berean offers indoor baptism during the fall/winter/spring months. You might have questions about why we baptize by immersion, if you should be re-baptized as an adult, or even if baptism is a requirement for salvation. These questions and more will be answered in the pre-requisite class, held February 19 and April 22. Watch the Sunday bulletin for more details or contact Kay Larson.

If you are interested in becoming more involved with this initiative, please contact Crissy Krukowski. Come join us for prayer on the first Wednesday of every month from 7-8pm.
