If your loved one or friend has died in Macclesfield District General Hospital

The Bereavement Team can help you with the following important next steps:

• Visiting your loved one and collecting any of their property from the hospital.

• Helping arrange the collection of the Medical Certificate of Cause of Death (MCCD). This will be needed to register the death.

• Providing you with the option of where and how you can register the death.

• Should there be involvement from the Coroners Office, the team will inform you and advise of how this may affect any delays in arranging the funeral.
