Message from the CEO

Welcome to the latest release of Beresfords Magazine...

In this edition we take a look at current property market insights, discover compelling reasons why Buy-to-Let properties make an attractive investment opportunity and provide valuable advice for those considering this route, plus, much more!

Through our Country & Village team we showcase a selection of exquisite country homes across the county that epitomise idyllic rural living. We also explore the appeal of new build homes which are now more energy efficient than ever, as well as a selection of lifestyle articles to inspire.

Mortgages have been more newsworthy than ever over the last 12 months. To support our clients on their property journey, Flagstone’s Mortgage and Protection Adviser, Michelle Shilliam shares her top tips on securing a mortgage, empowering you to navigate the process with confidence in the current climate.

Our wealth of experience in the property industry gives us the confidence to remain optimistic, despite the recent negative media coverage surrounding the housing market, we are no strangers to fluctuating market conditions. Rightmove have reported record-high prices, while the International Monetary Fund’s prediction of a recession-free year for Britain signals a favourable economic outlook. At Beresfords Group, we have witnessed steady growth and activity, with monthly viewings experiencing a remarkable average increase of 5% and an impressive 18% surge in April 2023 compared to January 2023. This really is a reminder that the UK housing market remains resilient.

We are also pleased to see that Whybrow has gone from strength to strength since joining Beresfords Property Group last year, helping to expand our client base and secure numerous new instructions. Whybrow has become an integral part of our organisation reinforcing our presence, we have recently introduced branches in Brentwood, Havering, and Chelmsford, with ambitious plans to further expand our commercial business and network.

Furthermore, our commitment to the community continues to be the heart of our business. Through our “Food & Thought” appeal that we launched at the beginning of this year, we invite our business colleagues and the public alike to contribute non-perishable food items at designated drop-off points in all 17 of our branches, helping us address food poverty in Essex.

We were delighted to be named, ‘Best Estate Agency, Essex’ and ‘Best Estate Agency Marketing, Essex’ at the 2022/2023 International Property Awards. Our reputation for providing professional and a personal service is very important to us.

Finally, when you’re ready to embark on your property journey, our knowledgeable staff will assist you, whether it be in finding your dream home, discussing your property requirements, or answering any queries you may have. We hope you enjoy reading the magazine!
