BERESFORDS IN THE COMMUNITY
BERESFORDS HAVE SUPPORTED THE COMMUNITIES IN WHICH WE WORK WITHIN AND OVER THE YEARS OUR STAFF HAVE RUN, CYCLED, SWAM, CRAWLED, AND CLIMBED IN THE NAME OF A GOOD CAUSE.
This year we’ve supported various initiatives within the community from school fetes to festivals, marketplaces to fashion shows, and we are excited to continue this in the years to come.
Despite the pandemic, this year Beresfords can proudly announce we have still been able to raise over £16,000 for charity through a series of events, fundraisers, and charitable donations.
BERESFORDS CLIMB AGAINST CANCER
On Thursday 16th September, the Beresfords marketing team braved the heights of the O2 climbing over the top of the famous 52-metre-high arena and raised £2,065 for cancer awareness charity, CoppaFeel! The Beresfords marketing team decided to fundraise for CoppaFeel! because they understand the importance of encouraging individuals to get to know and check their bodies regularly. Sadly, we all know someone whose been affected by cancer so it’s a cause close to many.

It is only with the continued support from our community that St Helena is able to provide our services to local people facing incurable illness and bereavement and their families and careers, across north east Essex.
We are so grateful to Beresfords and the team for organising such a wonderful evening to raise funds for St Helena. The hard work and dedication from this team to arrange this event will make such an incredible difference and to share with you what the funds raised on the night could pay for, it could provide care and support to over 100 families in crisis in the depth of the night with a visit from a Singlepoint nurse.

THORNDON PARK GOLF DAY
Beresfords together with Sanders Solicitors hosted their annual golf day at Thorndon Park Golf Club, raising funds in excess of £8,000 for St Francis Hospice which is close to 50% up on the 2019 total. Sir Trevor Brooking once again showed his support by attending the charity day. A long-time ambassador of St Francis Hospice, he chatted and met with players throughout the day showing his generosity with his time he stayed and handed out prizes at the evening’s presentations and auction.
CEO Paul Beresford said, ‘’For me personally, playing with Sir Trevor on the course was a real privilege; he is an absolute gentleman and amazingly active Patron of the hospice. We were very lucky to have his support.’’
We love working with Beresfords! And it is always great fun too – their staff are professional, generous with their time and efforts and have a real heart for their local community. We are so grateful for the support they have given to Saint Francis Hospice – the funds they have raised make a real difference to local people when they need it most, helping to keep families together right to the end. We look forward to continuing to work with them to help people at the end of their life for many years to come!”

FABULOUS FOOD & FASHION
At the start of October 2021, Beresfords, along with their sponsors Flagstone Financial, Fenwick Colchester and New Day Originals, hosted an evening of Fabulous Food and Fashion in aid of St Helena Hospice. 130 women came together at Le Talbooth, Dedham and enjoyed a fashion show, a 3-course dinner, and live entertainment completed with a charity raffle and auction. Thanks to the support of our sponsors, local businesses, and our guests Beresfords raised a total of £5,574.79 which could provide care and support to over 100 families in crisis in the depth of the night, with a visit from a Singlepoint nurse.
THE POP UP MARKET, BRENTWOOD
This summer, Beresfords sponsored the Brentwood Pop Up Market alongside Tees Law. The marketplace was the brainchild of Beresfords Marketing and New Business Director and member of the Brentwood Business Partnership, Nicki Treffers, and was created in an attempt to boost awareness of Brentwood as a thriving business environment, increase footfall and encourage local spend. The market was a massive success with lots of people coming along to enjoy what the independent businesses of Brentwood had to offer.
Chatham Way Car Park was filled with a variety of stalls, live entertainment, and lots of delicious food and our Beresfords team thoroughly enjoyed seeing so many friendly faces and planting cress seeds with the little ones.

BABY BASICS, BILLERICAY
In May 2021, Baby Basics in Billericay, a charity recently established to support mothers and families who are struggling to cope with the financial pressures of caring for a baby, received an £800 grant from the Beresfords Foundation. This grant allowed them to purchase essential items for families, as well as enabling them to further publicise their work so that they can continue to support others facing difficulties.
