We’re pleased to welcome you to our autumn edition of Essex Homes & Style, and while 2020 took an unexpected turn earlier this year, we hope you and your family have been keeping safe and well. Much has changed since our last issue and with the property market now fully back up and running following the lockdown, we’re delighted to report record levels of business across all aspects of the group this summer. With 1,961 new buyers registering in July alone, we now have a ratio of 16 perspective buyers for every property on the market. Our Financial Services Division in the month of August, arranged £49m worth of mortgages. We also sold £125m worth of property in August and had 1,840 buyers register in the same month. Rightmove also reported figures of £37bn worth of property sold in July as the market saw its busiest month in over 10 years, with more people moving than ever before this summer. The lettings market is still exceptionally busy with people choosing to relocate in areas that balance their commute and lifestyle, with over 1,500 new tenants registering in August. We have seen new trends in the market, with a high level of those moving, looking to move further out of cities and into more rural surroundings. If lockdown taught us anything, it’s how to appreciate green space and the nature around us. With many people now working from home more frequently, the commute into London is less vital when choosing a location to live in. If those who previously commuted five times a week, now only need to commute once or twice a week, they are now choosing a better life/work balance, with the villages of Essex proving to be more popular than ever. Here in Essex, we really do have the best of both worlds. With bustling cities and towns and great links to London, plus parks, villages and the countryside a stone’s throw from those busy pockets, it’s clear to see why many are moving further out this way. The property market remains strong, as the figures above show and with the stamp duty holiday also offering a welcome boost. Buyers at all price brackets and steps on the ladder will gain a saving of some kind, whether that’s put towards a new kitchen, extension or perhaps just kept for a rainy day. Perfect Timing Cartier Pasha In the mid 1930s, the Pasha of Marrakech asked Cartier to make a watch that could be worn in his swimming pool, and so the Cartier Pasha was born. The original watch had a metal grille on the crystal to protect it, as well as a screw down cap that sealed the crown from the water.


Over the decades, Cartier has launched several timepieces that have been influenced by the original model from the Pasha line. How It Works Auto Vivendi members receive a set number of Annual Days of Car Use, along with an Annual Mileage Allowance, which they can use up across any cars as and when they wish. For example, if a member has a car for 3 days and drives a total of 60 miles over those days, 3 days will be deducted from their remaining Annual Days of Car Use and 60 miles will be deducted from their remaining Annual Mileage Allowance. It really is that simple. There are several membership levels available, each with an accompanying ‘Out of Town’ option, which include a number of collections and deliveries by covered transporter, making Club membership as convenient and flexible as possible.

Membership The Club consists of members from all over the world who have a zest for life and share a number of common objectives – to have access to a collection of the world’s best supercars, to enjoy an exciting lifestyle, to experience the genuine ‘money can’t buy, it’s who you know’ invites and to meet other successful and interesting people. Car Collection Auto Vivendi typically buys 15-20 new supercars every year, providing members with access to 30-40 different cars over the course of their membership year. Cars are typically only used 25-40% of the time, meaning there is always great availability all year round.
