You and Father Time, Poem, Somali Findlay

You and Father Time

You come to visit me every night, You & Father time, To keep me company by my Bedside. Your presence faint yet evident Reminding me of my morality I grow old and you witness The end of my days amongst the living As my flower petals begin to wither Your hollow face gets clearer & clearer I take a look back at the life I created, Destiny claps singing, “You made it”.

I do not have the strength to fight what’s planned, I am just a man. In agreement I shake your hand & smile at father time, And with my final breath… I Die.
