testimonials “As someone who did not have any service or retail experience prior to working at Top Ten, it was an amazing opportunity to be able to work with Berkeley and learn from her. As my supervisor, she oversaw my training and did an excellent job at teaching me how to work with customers. Not only was she approachable and supportive, she was also very patient when it came to answering any questions I had. One of Berkeley’s greatest strengths is her attention to detail; she was very good at helping me identify the areas I needed to work on and then working alongside me to improve these areas. I appreciated that even though Berkeley was my manager, she was never condescending or dismissive and she really helped me build confidence in my own skills.” - Nicole 1(778)998-4328
“As my supervisor at Top Ten for the past two years, Berkeley was always well-spoken, organized and detail-oriented. She is someone who is capable of working under extreme time pressure while maintaining a positive and motivated attitude. She is dedicated to her work and consistently manages in the best interest of her employees. She invested a great amount of time working one-on-one with the employees at Top Ten, bringing out our strengths and working collaboratively to improve our weaknesses.” - Victoria 1(604)356-8981
“Berkeley was the management consultant at Top Ten last summer. It was her first time in the role of a management consultant, and I was constantly impressed with her ability to quickly learn and take initiative. Not only has she been a great supervisor in previous years, but an even better role model to me. She remained professional at all times, but was extremely approachable and fun to be around at the same time. Through leading by example, she has taught me a lot in terms of developing great work ethic, paying attention to detail, and finding confidence in myself.” - Kenzie

why Nordstrom? You say it best. At Nordstrom, “we’re all obsessed with serving our customers and oh, of course, fashion.” Ranked as one of Fortune’s Top 100 “Best Companies to Work For,” it would be silly to pass up such an amazing opportunity. In the dog-eat-dog world of fashion retail, Nordstrom is still able to retain its highly renown reputation for customer service. The shopping experience at Nordstrom is one of a kind. I want to be on the other side of the experience. I want to be a part of the Nordstrom culture that creates an “out of this world” experience for its shoppers. The feeling I get as I leave a Nordstrom is the feeling I want to give back. This crazy, hectic, fast-paced career is what I see myself doing, and loving every second of it -- because in the end, the results puts a smile on people’s faces... and that’s what makes it worth it for me. On top of that, keeping up with fashion trends is considered a job?! That sounds like a dream job to me.

VP Marketing, Sauder Social Committee For two years straight, I did the marketing for the Social Committee, better known as “SoCo.” I rebranded the name, created a new logo, and created a campaign called “SoCo’s Angels,” inspired by the Victoria’s Secret Angels. To my surprise, “SoCo’s Angels” still exist and are still being used in today’s SoCo marketing campaigns. The photo on the left was a poster I created and mass-produced for a comedic male beauty pageant show. This particular shoot was inspired by GQ Magazine. I was the creative director and photographer behind all the photo shoots as well. portfolio | 10
VP Marketing, 5 Days for the Homeless Another passion of mine is philanthropy, particularly to do with helping the Downtown Eastside in Vancouver because it is so close to home. 5 Days for the Homeless is a national campaign held at different campuses across Canada, where ten students live homeless for five straight days without food and other necessities. When I was given this position, I put my blood, sweat, and tears into the project. Again, my motivation comes from passion. My main campaign was the “Balloon of Hope campaign. I bribed my friends into helping me individually blow up 500 helium balloons. We distributed them and tied them all across campus to the point where they were impossible to miss! Five straight days of balloon blowing, tying, and endless hours of walking. In the end, it was all worth it. We were able to raise $20,000 within five days and even had the Mayor of Vancouver personally congratulate me for my work!
... I also promoted the campaign by having students on campus make a sandwich to donate to the Downtown Eastside. We made over 1,000!

Fashion Director, Style and the City Conference In my first year at UBC, I was asked to model for a fashion show called Style and the City. It is an annual business conference on personal branding, with a fashion show finale to end the night. I knew immediately that I wanted to be on the other side of the fashion show the following year, the planning and directing side. In my second year, I was the Director of the fashion show. I did everything from casting models, acquiring sponsors, pulling clothes, styling, fitting, logistics, hiring photographers, directing photo shoots, and even gave my own “Runway Walk 101 lesson! There is no doubt in my mind that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.

Market Research, Barre Fitness This past semester, four of my classmates and I did market research work for a fitness studio called Barre Fitness. The objective of the project was to determine whether or not Barre Fitness should invest time and money into creating a rewards program. We used the programs SPSS and R-Studio to gather and analyze information. The slides above are taken from the Powerpoint I created for the presentation. We were able to provide helpful insights and recommendations based on our findings.

Fashion Intern, Hush Magazine I interned for a local start-up magazine, where they challenged me to create a media kit for them, as they did not have one at the time. The editor-inchief was so impressed he ended up using mine! I also assisted in fashion shoots, styling, and obtaining sponsors for the fashion spread of the magazine.
