HEART FOR THE HOUSE
12
Our annual Heart for the House offering is a tangible expression of the generosity and faithfulness of the people who call Berlin Connect their home. This offering, which is always given above and beyond regular tithes and offerings, enabled us to resource and strengthen our church creating momentum to see our vision become a reality in changing people’s perceptions about Jesus and His Church.
Heart for the House 2014: € 98,651* *Total amount received if all giving is honoured & fulfilled.
Faithful givers: € 35,871 Vision givers: € 18,780 Kingdom givers: € 44,000 Faithful givers is open to anyone who wants to contribute to the vision. Vision givers is for anyone who wants to give an amount each month to resource our midweek operations. Kingdom givers is the beginning of releasing financial leaders, who believe it’s their calling to resource the local church in reaching the lost for Christ.

HEART FOR THE HOUSE
Our Heart for the House miracle offering
Excellence in everything we do HEART FOR THE HOUSE
Excellence is all about people and their personal experience. Excellence is about removing the distractions so that people can encounter God’s goodness for their lives. The message is eternal, however the way we present the message is always generational. Therefore we want to use sound, lighting and visuals to communicate an eternal message in a contemporary way with a spirit of excellence that honours God and His Kingdom. Our Heart for the House offering enables us to purchase the best technical equipment possible to reach and serve others.
14
Midweek hub
The ‘hub’ is more than an office - it also provides room for midweek gatherings such as Sisterhood, New to Church Parties, Teaching Nights as well as Pastoral Care and Marriage Preparation. Using creativity and a combination of used and modern furniture our aim is to create a midweek ‘home’ feel for everyone.
Supporting others We were able to use part of our Heart for the House offering to help 3rd Place Church get started in Leipzig, Germany.
15
HEART FOR THE HOUSE
Through Heart for the House offering and our Vision givers we were able to rent and design space at a central location in Berlin for our volunteer teams to gather, plan, train and work together midweek.

Attendance Comparison Our move to ‘Haus Ungarn’ in May provided a great opportunity to cater for our growing church as well as much better facilities for the children, youth and families. Easter, Summer Dinner Parties in the Park and Christmas have given us a picture of what the next level looks and feels like. After a blessed start to the year we were able to build momentum over the summer months which helped us finish the year strong as a church. Our rhythm is outworked in 3 stages of the year: Stage 1 - January to April with Easter as the highlight. Stage 2 - May to August with Dinner Parties in the Park as the highlight. Stage 3 - September to December with Christmas Special as the highlight. ATTENDANCE

FOCUS 2015
22
We are believing that 2015 will be a year of personal enlargement. When our own lives grow, the House of God will also grow. Healthy churches always grow. Make your tent bigger; stretch it out and make it wider. Do not hold back. Make the ropes longer and its stakes stronger. Isaiah 54:2 NCV

FOCUS 2015
2015 Focus
We only do Sundays Our desire is to help guests become family by creating a friendly environment, in which people can build friendships and find their place within God’s family. The whole day is the message. Come as you are is for the unchurched - come prepared is for the church.
FOCUS 2015
Sundays are all about pointing people to Jesus and learning to receive from Him and His goodness. Sunday is the first day of a brand new week that helps prepare you for all God wants to do in and through you - shine brightly for Him. We are in the process of finding a larger venue or multiple locations across the city, so that more people can experience ‘Welcome Home’ and discover their true identity and purpose in life.
Community We will continue to strengthen our current Dinner Parties and start new ones all across Berlin as the year unfolds. Training and support will be given on a regular basis so we can meet the needs of a growing community. Never underestimate what God can do in people’s lives by being around a table of generosity, hospitality and purpose. Each Dinner Party contributes to our missions giving, making a difference with our global partnerships and serving through local initiatives in Berlin.
24
things Social enterprise Through our social enterprise called ‘Futureminded Group’ we aim to continue to build relationship with business & civic leaders across the city through leadership innovation and kindness initiatives. We believe that the future of Berlin can be shaped positively by the resourcefulness of the people who live here and call Berlin their home. Futureminded Group proactively seeks to support a collaborative innovative approach to the challenges our city faces now and in the future. • 2020Plus Berlin Business & Civic Leadership event with Mal Fletcher in March. • City kindness at Easter and Christmas: Finding practical ways to express kindness to some of the most marginalised people in our city. • Annual Charity water fun run: Raising money to provide clean water for communities in need.
