AIESEC in the Philippines

Member Committee President

2017 - 2018 Application Booklet

“A great leader's courage to fulfill his vision comes from passion, not position.” JOHN C. MAXWELL

A message from the current MCP Dearest applicants, Thank you for your interest in this application. Unfolding this booklet will yet give you an opportunity that would change your path. Regardless, the decision is yours whether to take it or not. Making this application brings me back to where I start my MCP journey - taking a decision that I would run for the MCP role last January 2016 and fighting for it no matter the circumstances. There might have been a lot of challenges that is coming in my way since I got this role, but it was all worth it - the challenge of completing my team, ensuring collaboration happens in AIESEC in the Philippines, but most importantly, making leaders everyday to make an impact to the world. I remember my speech back when I ran for MCP - it was all about the selfish and selfless motivation I have for AIESEC in the Philippines. My selfish motivation is purely personal development. I could attest that this organization brought so much development to me. My selfless motivation, on other hand, is to make more impact to AIESEC in the Philippines and to this country. I would like to ensure that I can influence more young people to take ownership to this world, make their voices heard and take actions to the current challenges we face nowadays. When you open this booklet, you may or may not have a decision yet whether to apply for the MCP role. It might take time for you to decide like the way I did. It’s alright (I guess). As long as you set a deadline for it. If you feel like making a decision by yourself is a tough job, don’t hesitate to ask for help. You are not alone in this path. This application may or may not be the turning point of your life. Because for me, it did. This will be the opportunity for you to grow and live to learn. If you take this path, you’ll expect the unexpected. If not, then fully respect your decision to wherever life may take you, so long as you live your life for a bigger picture, for a better world. Remember, the choice is now yours. Which path are you going to take?
