Dushan Lazarevic

Sail and work experience

Having more than two decades of experience in the boating sector, Dushan has sailed diverse waters throughout his sailing career, from the Caribbean to the West Mediterranean. He captained a Ketch 72 and Hanse 54 catering to private charters in the Mediterranean and Adriatic seas, refining his leadership acumen. Following this tenure, he then captained a Ketch 65, where he had led her sea trials and revised her operational manuals prior to her launch on the market. He then embarked on a global charter season aboard a Dix 57 Cutter and completed two transatlantic crossings, perfecting his operational management of sailboats. Overall, Dushan’s extensive experience demonstrates his unwavering commitment to excellence, with each charter contributing to his depth of knowledge and perfection of his skills as a captain.

Job Description

Dushan is responsible for navigation, safety, the overall running and financial management of the vessel, crew, and guests. He always ensures the safe and efficient operation of LA LOEVIE, including compliance with all procedures and regulations that keep our guests safe. He takes care of adhering to flag regulations, port state and local laws and regulations, and manages the crew to ensure adherence to, and a full understanding of, the catamaran’s policies. He further encourages teamwork, individual growth, and personal attention in delegating duties and supervising all crew tasks.

Amélie Bourdeilh

Sail and work experience

Amélie possesses a wide range of skills in hospitality techniques, table and room service, family-style cooking (French, Mediterranean, and international cuisine), as well as waitressing and serving for both guests and crew. Her professional yachting experience includes serving as a sole stewardess on M/Y AMORNIA (Falcon 86) in summer 2023 and as a sole stewardess and deckhand on M/Y DADDY COOL (Leopard 23 Sport) in summer 2022. During 2021, she also worked on M/Y GETAWAY (Navetta 67) and S/Y KALISTA (Ipanema 58), handling duties as a stewardess, cook, and deckhand. Beyond her professional life, Amélie enjoys travelling, skiing and scuba diving.

Job Description

As the Chef, Amélie is responsible for the crew and guest meals throughout the charter, ensuring that the food is enjoyable, the interior of the yacht is clean and serviceable and that all dietary requirements are met. She is a creative cook, providing a variety flavours in her dishes and cooking meals that correspond to the location of LA LOÉVIE, ensuring there is as much relevance as possible to the country being visited.

Marco Iacchini

Sailor / Steward FRENCH

Sail and work experience

Marco has been in love with the sea since childhood, starting with his first Optimist sailing experiences on the Adriatic coast during holidays. Marco’s extensive experience includes years working on tugboats, tankers, motor-yachts, and sailing yachts, where he has gained skills to adapt to any situation. His career highlights include working on the S/Y PRINCIPESSA VAI VIA, M/Y LEONIDA II, and M/Y PYXIS, among others, handling both private and charter vessels, and cruising in the Mediterranean Sea. He has shown excellent boat handling and command, and has supervised major yacht refits, including unstepping/stepping masts, painting hulls, and upgrading electronic equipment. In his free time, he enjoys sailing on his own foiling A Class sport catamaran and travelling the globe.

Job Description

Marco has the expertise required to stand in for the captain in his absence, acting in an important role for deckhand duties. He assists the captain during navigation and participates in all on-deck operations, respecting guests’ activities. He has extensive knowledge of the maintenance of sailing yachts and is responsible for the running of deck equipment and machinery. Marco is also responsible for organisation, management, and cleanliness of all interiors. He maintains an accurate record of all service items and supplies and ensures cleaning and preparation of the vessel to the highest standards prior to all guest trips.
