That’s where Brain Injury Services of SWVA steps in…” says Alexander Barge, MS, the director of development and marketing for the organization.

“Brain Injury Services of Southwest Virginia is the only provider of free case management services in Southwest Virginia, along with parts of Central and Southside Virginia, for survivors of brain injury,” Alex continues. “[It provides] support in reaching recovery goals, such as becoming more independent, reintegrating into school or work, socializing, and recreating.”
BISSWVA serves all of Southwest Virginia including: Alleghany, Bedford City, Bedford County, Bland, Botetourt, Bristol, Buchanan, Campbell, Carroll, Charlotte, Covington, Craig, Danville, Dickenson, Floyd, Franklin County, Galax, Giles, Grayson, Halifax, Henry, Lee, Lynchburg, Martinsville, Montgomery, Norton, Patrick, Pittsylvania, Pulaski, Radford, Roanoke City, Roanoke County, Russell, Salem, Smyth, Tazewell, Washington County, Wise, and Wythe.
