Transporting a mountain bike with the car is as easy as with a normal bike. There is not a special mountain bike bike carrier for sale. There are, however, a few things to consider when transporting a mountain bike compared to a normal bicycle. This depends on the material of your frame, carbon is more sensitive to damage than aluminum. You also have to pay attention to the width of the gutter, this must be suitable for the wider mountain bike tires. Which roof bike carrier for mountain bike? Where do you leave the front wheel?


If you mount the mountain bike on a front fork carrier, you will of course still be asked where you leave the front wheel. You have two options for this: ● Front ​ wheel carrier​ - ​ With a special front wheel carrier you transport the wheel on top of the roof of your car ● Wheel bag - ​ Do you have room to put a wheel in the car?
