“We take extra time to make sure all our coolers are functioning properly before the race. The heat is hard on the body. It’s a challenge staying hydrated and fed for nine hours or more in the heat. The same is true for the crew. It’s hard to chase this race. The crew is a major part of the equation. That’s why my crew loves it so much,” said Bryce Menzies.
“I actually prefer a point-to-point race; the main reason is the terrain,” says Skyler Howes. “You travel a long distance and go through a lot of different terrain like mountains, trees, valleys, riverbeds, and dry lakes. You are a little bit more on edge because the terrain
