In 1956, Francesc Viladomat, a businessman and ski champion, installed the first ski li at the summit of the Coll Blanc in Pas de la Casa. It was operated using power from a truck engine and it could transport up to 450 skiers per hour. From that moment, the station continued to grow with the installation of a new ski li each year. The first ski li was installed in the Grau Roig sector in 1959 beside the Hotel Grau Roig, which was only a small mountain hut at the time. As the station continued to grow, the need to offer a beer service also grew, and so in 1974, Hotel Grau Roig became the first hotel lodge in the sector. Our history starts with the acquisition of the
hotel by the Sans Marfany Family in 1987. During the 1980s, Pas de la Casa-Grau Roig introduced the first automatic snow cannons and the Riba Escorxada sector was inaugurated in the neighbouring resort, with access from El Tarter. In October 2003, Pas de la Casa-Grau Roig and Soldeu-El Tarter announced an eagerly awaited merger. As early as 1165 it appears the first time the name "Chizbuhel" in a Chiemseer certificate, which is a merger with the proper name "Chizzo" and "Buhel" is a characterization of its geographical location. In 1450 began the heyday of mining in Kitzbühel, but not until 16th Century silver was found in Kitzbühel. The citys landscape is a consequence of that wealth.
