A ASTON MARTIN HAS BROUGHT A NEW DIMENSION OF RACE-INSPIRED DYNAMISM AND PERFORMANCE TO THE DB11 FAMILY, WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF THE NEW DB11 AMR.
Replacing the outgoing V12-engined DB11 as the new flagship of the DB11 range, the DB11 AMR boasts greater power, increased performance, enhanced driving dynamics and a more characterful exhaust note, together with a suite of exterior and interior enhancements. Together they create a DB11 that offers a more vivid driving experience, yet preserves the maturity and effortless continent-crushing GT performance for which the original V12-engined DB11 is rightly renowned. AMR – inspired by Aston Martin Racing’s successful endurance programme – pushes the envelope of performance for each model in Aston Martin’s range. Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017, the
performance derivative has already delivered the previous-generation Vantage AMR and AMR Pro, with the highly-anticipated Rapide AMR forthcoming. At the heart of the DB11 AMR is Aston Martin’s twinturbocharged 5.2-litre V12. Now developing 630bhp, this gives the DB11 AMR an additional 30bhp compared with the outgoing DB11 V12, and 127bhp more than the V8-engined DB11. Torque remains unchanged at 700Nm. A 0-62mph time of 3.7sec is an improvement of 0.2sec over the outgoing model while a top speed of 208mph makes the DB11 AMR one of the world’s swiest GT cars and the fastest model in Aston Martin’s current series production range.

Their work has delivered a greater sense of connection without harming the supple ride. Similarly, a new shi calibration for the transmission and a slightly more vocal exhaust note ensures the DB11 AMR expresses its character more explicitly when Sport mode is engaged. Aston Martin President & Chief Executive Officer, Dr Andy Palmer said of the DB11 AMR: “Since its initial launch back in 2016 the DB11 range has matured
rapidly and intelligently, selling close to 4,200 V12 examples in that period. Thus, for the precious crystal flacon of the 2017 Limited Edition, the house of Lalique revisits one of its founder’s most celebrated creations: the “Bacchantes” vase, designed in 1927.
1150°C with a long cane, is formed in a wooden shaping block. It is then placed into a cast-iron mould heated to 400°C and annealed for seven hours. To make the stopper, the “pressed” technique requires five glassma-kers. The cuing and polishing is performed once the flacon is cold.
A virtuosic ode to femininity, this iconic vase bears a bas-relief whose theme is drawn from Greek mythology: the dance of the Bacchantes, the young priestesses of the god of wine and feasts. The voluptuous, curvaceous nudes are all the more seductive that the satiny crystal conjures the smooth texture of a woman’s skin. The play of light breathes life and motion into the heady, sensuous dance.
Aer a last inspection to ensure its perfection, each flacon is numbered and signed “Lalique France”, then sealed according to the traditional techniques of haute perfume-ry, with a baudruchage and a gold thread around the collar. An ivory coffret stamped with a detail of the “Bacchantes” motif houses this prestigious Limited Edition.
In the Limited Edition, the lush splendor of the “Bacchantes” motif is enhanced by a sculptural flacon, crowned with a stopper in the shape of an inverted cupola, shimme-ring with the amber reflections of the fragrance. A dazzling work of art full of seduc-tion, grace and femininity. Born of a ceaseless quest for excellence, this precious Limited Edition has required all the know-how of the peerless crasmen of the Cristallerie Lalique. Four master glassmakers work together to produce the flacon, using the handcraed hot mould technique, in a fine-tuned choreography where each plays a specific role. The molten crystal, taken up at

Replacing the outgoing V12-engined DB11 as the new flagship of the DB11 range, the DB11 AMR boasts greater power, increased performance, enhanced driving dynamics and a more characterful exhaust note, together with a suite of exterior and interior enhancements. Together they create a DB11 that offers a more vivid driving experience, yet preserves the maturity and effortless continent-crushing GT performance for which the original V12-engined DB11 is rightly renowned. AMR – inspired by Aston Martin Racing’s successful endurance programme – pushes the envelope of performance for each model in Aston Martin’s range. Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017, the
performance derivative has already delivered the previous-generation Vantage AMR and AMR Pro, with the highly-anticipated Rapide AMR forthcoming. At the heart of the DB11 AMR is Aston Martin’s twinturbocharged 5.2-litre V12. Now developing 630bhp, this gives the DB11 AMR an additional 30bhp compared with the outgoing DB11 V12, and 127bhp more than the V8-engined DB11. Torque remains unchanged at 700Nm. A 0-62mph time of 3.7sec is an improvement of 0.2sec over the outgoing model while a top speed of 208mph makes the DB11 AMR one of the world’s swiest GT cars and the fastest model in Aston Martin’s current series production range.

Manfredi Lefebvre is a well-respected businessman active in many different fields, but travel has always been his primary passion, both on a personal as well as on a professional level.
Thanks to the Lefebvre family’s commitment, Silversea Cruises is one of the last cruise companies still privately owned. In addition to his role at Silversea Mr. Lefebvre is a member of the World Economic Forum, is Vice-Chairman of the World Travel & Tourism Council and is a member of the Executive Commiee of CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association). The precision of every movement – officially certified as a chronometer by COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute) – is, therefore, tested a second time by Rolex aer being cased, to ensure that it meets criteria for precision that are far more exacting than those for an official chronometer. The tolerance for the average rate of a Rolex Superlative Chronometer aer casing is of the order of −2/+2 seconds per day. Its precision is tested by Rolex using an exclusive methodology that simulates the conditions in which a watch is actually worn and is much more representative of real-life experience. The certification testing is carried out using state-of-theart equipment specially developed by Rolex. The entirely automated series of tests also checks the waterproofness, the self-winding capacity and the power reserve of 100 per cent of Rolex watches. These tests systematically complement the qualification testing upstream during development and production that ensures the watches’ reliability, robustness, and resistance to magnetic fields and shocks.
