The exhibition encompasses themes of displacement, memory and home, as Banerjee negotiates the imagined experience of being in multiple places at the same time. She finds herself in Ballarat today; in Kolkata as a girl and young woman; and finally in Kolkata in the early 1900s - drawing from both her own family's stories and those of Bengali writer Rabindranath Tagore.
