Here are 3 mistakes I see many women making all the time that is absolutely stopping women's weight loss. These 3 mistakes could be the things holding you back from your dream body. 1. Lifting Weights Makes You Bulky Take a look at the weight rack at any gym, and chances are you're going to see several women doing curls or overhead presses with weights only big enough for a 5 year old. Check out the fitness videos on the shelf at the store, and you're going to see even more of these tiny dumb bells and a ridiculously high number of reps. The idea is that if you use a small weight and do many reps, you will tone your muscles and if you use heavy weights and low reps, you will bulk up. But here's the truth... Women don't get bulky. Women don't have enough testosterone in their bodies to build big, bulky, bodybuilder muscle. Large amounts of testosterone in your body, like most men have, is the only way you will be able to get bulky. Before you mention those big women on muscle magazines, let me stop you. The only way for a woman to get big and bulky is through very specific diet, training and hormone manipulation (STEROIDS.) 2. Going For A Walk Very few days go by when I don't hear a lady complain that she isn't losing any weight and talk about how frustrated they are with their results. Of course, my first instinct is to ask her what she's doing, and I cringe when they answer, "I've been walking every day." Ouch. Sorry to break it to you, but that's part of the problem. Believing "going for a walk" is a good way to lose weight is the kiss of death for fat loss. You can't get rid of years of fat and inactivity by just a few minutes of walking. If you want to get fast fat loss, get fit and be healthy, you have to do more than just take a little walk each day. Resistance exercise and intense cardio are the only ways you'll be able to permanently change your body into the body of your dreams.


3. Yoga For Fitness Many people seem to think that yoga has some sort of special powers to make them lean and healthy. While it can reduce stress, improve balance, breathing, and focus, it doesn't help to make you lean any more than any other low impact exercise might be. If a session of yoga burns about 200 calories, then you could get the same results (as far as fat burning is concerned) as you would if you did any other task that burned about 200 calories.
