Two Worlds Collide in A Beautifully Natural Way

Many of you know me and our Best Self Atlanta team from Best Self photoshoots, Over 40 & Fabulous!, Amazing One-Hour Makeovers, So You Want To Write a Book and many other Best Self community events. Well, the truth is we all have another life and love that preceded Best Self by more than 10 years! My Home Improvement is our sister publication that includes a community of designers, remodelers, home service pros and homeowners who take a great deal of interest and pride in creating their “best home” and making it their sanctuary and happy place. That said, there are so many ways that our journey to be our best self extends to our home life. An amazing book written a few years ago by Moll Anderson called “Change Your Home, Change Your Life” punctuates the tremendous effect our surroundings have on our mental, emotional and physical wellness. The pandemic has certainly helped to make that case even stronger as we all have spent more time in our homes than ever before. It has been fun the last few months to see our publications intersect in other ways. Many of our Best Self leaders and partners have discovered and participated in the My Home Improvement community and vice versa. Many of the same people show interest in both of these communities because they are commonly comprised of women, age 35+, who are leading the way in making key decisions for their family’s health and home.
