Morgan Hopson: B&E Sportswear Student of the Month

Morgan Hopson has excelled in academics, athletics and community service. As part of this recognition, Morgan will receive a $100 Wawa gift card. In her actions and her words, to the members of her school and members of the Newtown Square community, Morgan has exemplified everything that makes up a Student of the Month.

Morgan is currently in 9th grade at Marple Newtown High School. She maintains excellent grades and participates in extracurriculars as much as she can fit into her schedule.

She also excels in athletics as part of the volleyball, basketball, and softball teams for Marple Newtown High School. She loves the opportunity to compete in games that she loves, while also connecting with her teammates. It has been a fun, active way to make new friends, and has also given her a greater pride for her school and her community. She is very excited to continue playing for the various teams at Marple Newtown and become a bigger part of her teams with every year.

Above all, Morgan loves contributing to her community in charitable service. She volunteers for the Lansdowne YMCA, where she participates in a number of activities that give back to the community and help those in need.

Volunteering not only helps others, but it also gives me a sense of who I am,” Morgan said. “I learned that when I give back to others, it helps to make the world a better place.”

Morgan’s service, academics and athletics have clearly made her a candidate for Student of the Month. Everyone at Newtown Square Friends & Neighbors sends congratulations to Morgan for this recognition, and looks forward to the good Morgan will do for her school and her community.
