Welcome Christina Manning, Our New Content Coordinator!

by Bob Blaisse, Publisher of Newtown Square Friends & Neighbors Magazine

We all have friends and neighbors in Newtown Square. And one, known to many young adults, Christina Manning, has now joined Newtown Square Friends & Neighbors magazine as our new Content Coordinator. Welcome Christina. Your first issue looks great!

With Christina Manning now on our team, I want to thank Liz Burnett, who has filled the Content Coordinator role since our October issue. She has taken our magazine to a higher level. Liz will continue in her other role as my Executive Assistant and now also as our Content Administrator, supporting Christina. Thank you, Liz, for your skills and leadership.

Christina Manning, Content Coordinator of Newtown Square Friends & Neighbors Magazine

Christina Manning, a longtime resident of Newtown Square, is the third daughter of Sue and Chris Manning, and youngest sister of Alicia and Marissa. Christina attended grade school at St. Anastasia, where she was a star basketball player, and followed in her family’s footsteps to Cardinal O’Hara High School, leading teams there, too. She then continued her education and her basketball career at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, graduating in 2018 with her degree in Media and Communications. During college, she led Muhlenberg’s women’s basketball teams to three Centennial Conference Women’s Basketball Championship titles.

When I interviewed Christina for the role of Newtown Square Friends & Neighbors Content Coordinator, I asked what she thought about Newtown Square and our hometown magazine. “I love Newtown Square. It’s my hometown!” she said. “My family and I always look forward to receiving each issue in the mail every month.” And then Christina added: “I always thought it would be awesome to apply my media and communications skills learned in college, and write something meaningful for my hometown. And now I may have the opportunity to do just that, while developing social media around our hometown magazine.” I knew then and there that Christina was the hometown professional I was hoping to find.

Friends & Neighbors: One of our own hometown young adults, Christina Manning, is now on the job, and looking for your support in her new responsibility to take our hometown magazine to another new level in print and through social media. Please reach out and welcome Christina to our magazine, and offer your nominations for our cover and ideas for upcoming features. Email Christina at CManning@BestVersionMedia.com.
