Once you've melted your soap base over low heat, you can add all kinds of different things to make your soap gifts unique and special. For example, you might add botanical ingredients such as Lavender or Calendula. If the person for whom you are making the soap has a particular skin type, you can also add a sympathetic essential oil. Also, if they have a favourite fragrance, include a few drops in the form of soap friendly fragrance or essential oils.
