We have shared about ways Bethel Church can help incoming international students. Those who have volunteered to be official college mentors already have the forms to complete and send to the college direct. Helen has additional application forms. The deadline for mentor applications is August 8th.

If you are available and prepared to drive 2 or 3 of the students around Sarnia to assist them in their settling in process, please reserve Wednesday, September 5th from 4pm – 7.30 pm and let the church office know your availability. We hope to provide 20 or more cars to drive students as required – we would then provide food for those students at the church afterwards, followed by prayer for those who are willing for us to pray over them.

ture Week where the Word of God impacted children in big ways! This week is always the highlight of our Children’s Ministry as kids from Bethel and the community come together for 5 days to experience the life-changing Gospel of Jesus. It’s an amazing thing to see kids loving the Word of God and declaring through songs “no one is greater than Jesus!” This year we taught the kids each day how they can trust God no matter what is happening around them. For children who are constantly faced with change and challenges, it was a great lesson for them to learn. As a Church we believe in the power of building a solid Biblical foundation in kids, so that they will live their entire life with an understanding of God’s truth and power. MISSIONS TO UKRAINE & UGANDA THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! Dear Bethel Family: Thank you so much for your support in both the Ukraine and Uganda Missions projects we are involved with in August. You have come through in a big way! We have received an abundance of clothing to take with us to Ukraine. What we can’t take will go in a shipping container going out this Fall from Loads of Love ministries in Chatham to Ukraine! Along with the financial donations, we were able to purchase the toiletry items the orphan kids will need, along with gift bags for each orphan and also for the workers, and a brand new washing machine for the orphan camp. Plus significant funds to partner with a local church to provide the lift they need to strengthen their ministry. Also you have helped to fully sponsor the Pastors school in Uganda so that 60 Pastors will be provided for the week: food, a bed, help with travel and study notes! Thank you so much for your generosity! Now we ask that you partner with these mission projects in prayer. Here are ways you can pray for us and a schedule you can follow so you know each day how to pray. - Pastor Tim Gibb
HOW YOU CAN PRAY FOR US: UKRAINE: - Pray for each team member; for confidence and to be used of the Lord to bless. - For the 580 orphan kids we will be ministering to for the week. Pray for God’s love to be shown, for understanding and for salvation. - For the workers at the orphan camp, that they will feel the love of God and for salvation. - For the churches we will be ministering in. That our team will be a great encouragement to the churches and for miracles, healings and salvations. - For the Pastors Conference where Pastor Tim will be ministering. Pray for a great anointing and for a significant impartation on the Pastors as they go back to their churches and communities. - For safety in our travels and health.
AFRICA: - Pray for the 60 Pastors that will be trained in the Pastors school. For understanding in translation and revelation in the Word of God. - For the City-Wide Evangelistic crusade in Fort Portal, Uganda (Aug 25th). For many salvations and notable miracles. - For Pastor Tim, Pastor Garry Fess and Rev. Don Mann - for health and safety in travel.

God is what God requires of us. We are being called to
At the tables where I sit, leaders are wrestling with what needs to be jettisoned from the Pentecostal “packages” worldwide so that Jesus can be seen clearly. Spirit, give us ears to hear what You are saying to the church so that the focus is on lifting up Jesus.
MAKING DISCIPLES IS THE MISSION The call is for wholehearted followers of Jesus who, like their Lord, pursue the Father’s heart and purpose. They will be whole life disciples who live lives of integrity which are consistently marked by the fruit of the Spirit. The concern of the worldwide church is that although we may be good at making converts, we are less than adequate at making disciples. To make disciples of Jesus requires spiritual Fathers and Mothers in the faith. Many younger members of the Lord’s global family are raising their voices and appealing to mature believers to relationally engage them as spiritual parents. Spirit, give us ears to hear what You are saying to the church so that the primary fruit of our missional efforts will be disciplined followers of Jesus who, in turn, make disciples.
The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada is linked with several Pentecostal and charismatic fellowships around the world. They include our longstanding relationship with: the World Assemblies of God Fellowship, the Pentecostal World Fellowship, the Pentecostal/Charismatic Churches of North America, and Empowered 21. The member organizations within these four fellowships alone represent close to one hundred million Pentecostal/Charismatic believers worldwide. The interaction we have with the leaders, educators and missional workers from these organizations puts us in touch with the vision, strategies, passions and concerns of a broad swath of global Christianity. After serving on executives and councils for these groups over the past four years, I have noted a consistent pattern of what the Spirit seems to be saying to the church worldwide, especially to the larger Pentecostal/Charismatic community—referred to as Renewalists—a movement almost six hundred million strong. All over the world the Spirit is saying:
“The compelling voice of the Spirit can be heard all over the world. The call is straightforward and is centred on Jesus and His mission.”
SPIRIT EMPOWERMENT IS NOT AN OPTION To accomplish the mission Jesus has given us calls for resources greater than those we ourselves can produce. The transformation of lives requires the work
serve the whole person as we see the needs of spirit, soul and body. Our longing is to care for the broken and oppressed. The Lord is teaching us in fresh ways how to live in right relationship with Him, with one another, and with the world He created. Spirit, give us ears to hear what You are saying to the church so that we will see transformed lives, families, communities and nations where righteousness and justice reign.
TRAVEL LIGHT; LIVE SIMPLY Jesus’ message has always been clear: we are to live for Him. This means avoiding the weights, sins and other pursuits that could encumber us. Pentecostals do well to remember the simplicity of pursuing Jesus in this manner. We need to be constantly reminded that we cannot serve God and money; that we must forgive as we have been forgiven; and that to be great in the kingdom means being a servant of all. These maxims will not change. To complicate them with a hundred other formulas—as we are prone to do—only diminishes the power of Christ’s life within us. Spirit, give us ears to hear what You are saying to the church so that we will live for what lasts forever and in a manner that brings glory to the Father. The compelling voice of the Spirit can be heard all over the world. The call is straightforward and is centred on Jesus and His mission. The Spirit wants to fill us with His power and wisdom so that lives can be transformed in every dimension. We simply say: “Come, Holy Spirit, and give us ears to hear what You are saying all over the world.
of the Spirit. To be Christ’s witnesses we must “die to self”; this takes the empowerment that comes through Spirit baptism. Globally, young Pentecostals and Charismatics are looking for a faith that is naturally supernatural—not spooky or trendy, but a faith that demonstrates supernatural power. This is the life of faith that keeps in
