Set in an old rustic, minimalist cafe somewhere in the north of England, although it could be anywhere in the world and there is a clear focus on black and white. Two female characters sit across from each other, differentiated by the colour of their hair. They do not talk, communication is off the table, they are mute.

the clock is ticking
a simple, minimal clock. 4 clock ticks at 4 oclock
coffee stands untouched. instead lies on the table,
lifeless in front of the subjects. we get the sense they communicate
through a kind of telepathy, their mouths are sealed shut
by some makeshift means, rendering them silent
conforming to the ‘silent era’ style of film.
black and white is key.
