Welcome to Your

Better Life

Let’s Begin Your Journey Congratulations, you’ve started yourself on a path to a more fulfilling, joyful, stress-free and organized (Better) Life! This day planner is a carefully curated tool and your perfect sidekick on this journey. We are in this together, and you and I can accomplish anything. It all starts with putting it on paper. Have a powerful year!

With love & gratitude, Erin & Natasha  /betterlifeproject.ca/ |  @BLifeProject  @BLifeProject |  /BLifeProject betterlifeproject.ca | hello@betterlifeproject.ca

Erin Windrim is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator with a passion for creating captivating brand experences. When she’s not working, she’s probably expanding her yoga practice or has her nose in a book.

Natasha Nesrine is an enthusiastic educator and coach who has dedicated her life to expediting the growth of others through positive psychology. In her spare time, you can find her in a yoga or meditation class.

About the Better Life Planner Your Monthly Challenge is a way for you to create those habits you’ve always wanted. On the monthly spread, you’ll see a space in the bottom right corner to set a challenge for yourself. You can get some ideas for challenges on the Challenge Ideas page next to the Reading List. On the calendar, you’ll see a circle in the bottom left corner of each day. Track your progress by filling in the circle if you completed your challenge that day. At the end of the month, celebrate all that you’ve accomplished and see if you can keep the habit going. Your Daily Gratitude is a tool to increase your level of happiness and overall quality of life. Practicing gratitude on a daily basis trains your brain to be more positive and appreciate life’s richness. We care about your happiness, and we want you to walk through life with a light and positive attitude! You can practice daily gratitude on the weekly spread in the blank space near the bottom of each day. Your Daily SMGs stands for Small, Manageable Goals. As part of your morning routine, ask yourself: “In order for today to be

exceptional, what 5 things are my top priority?” Being able to break your big goals down into Small, Manageable Goals makes them much more attainable and will keep you on track. Write down these 5 mini goals at the bottom of each day on the weekly spread. And as Robin Sharma says, “What gets scheduled gets done,” so be sure to schedule your SMGs into your day! Just imagine accomplishing 5 goals per day, 35 per week, 150 per month — and ultimately — 1800+ goals each year! What kind of a person will you be at the end of each week? Where will you be a year from now? Better Lifers have told us they are constantly surprised at how far they’ve come in such a short period of time.

Example Goals

Goals for the Year: Goal 1: Start my own business and be earning revenue by June. Reason: Spending my time doing something I’m excited about! It will allow me to feel more fulfilled and give me the flexibility to spend more time with the people I love, while giving back to the world in a meaningful way.

Monthly Goals: • Define what I want my company to be more clearly by completing a Lean Business Model Canvas (BMC). Daily SMGs: 1. Exercise for 30 minutes 2. Pack lunch to save time + $$$ 3. Download Lean BMC from canvanizer.com 4. Read for 20 minutes (without my phone) 5. Take action on my Monthly Challenge Take your performance to the next level by creating an accountability system with a friend. After you’ve set your goals for the day, text them to a friend and encourage them to do the same. At the end of the day, share what you accomplished so that you can celebrate your wins together! If you didn’t meet all of your goals, reflect on what stopped you so that it’s a learning experience — and remember that it isn’t a failure. Rather, shift your mindset and celebrate your other wins and put in on your list again tomorrow!

We’re so excited for you to experience the magic of this planner. We’ve broken the process down into 5 simple steps: 1. Set your Top 5 goals for the year. Write out the reason for each one to build intrinsic motivation — this is a BIG game changer! 2. Each month reflect on what was awesome about the previous month, and set your Monthly Goals and a Monthly Challenge that will help you continue to grow. 3. Each week, set your intentions using the Weekly Goals space, then break those goals down into your Daily SMGs and schedule them throughout your week. 4. Take a few minutes to practice gratitude in the blank space under each day, reflecting on what made your day awesome. 5. Each quarter in the space provided on the month spread, reflect on what you accomplished the previous month and what you can do over the next 3 months to keep your momentum going.

You can also use the space at the bottom of each day every week for notes, a reflection on what you accomplished, or anything you’d like! It’s YOUR Better Life Planner, and you can design it in a way that fits your needs and gets you pumped up to take on life.
