BEVEL SPRING/SUMMER: WATCHING THE DETECTIVES Designing a collection is a bit like steering a boat, you have to watch the wind, the current etc. to make sure that you don’t stray too far from the course you set. This Spring is all about maintaining that course for me. Bevel was founded on catering to petite sizes for both men and women, with beautiful color palettes and wearable shapes. This Spring we have strongly reinforced our base, while still innovating with new materials and shapes. Titaniums. Having listened to our customers’ need for smaller eye sizes with extensions, to accommodate a high minus, we are launching a series of thin titaniums that caters to this need. Acetates. Our first foray into Mazzuchelli acetates allows us to offer a wider array of color in this collection, complimenting the complex Japanese materials that we use already. Combos. We have added to our recent innovations, which have had success, in the titanium/acetate combinations, beta/pure titanium combinations and our chiseled acetates and titaniums. My girls (I live with 3 daughters and my wife) are huge “British Detective show” fans, so the theme for our names this time is just that. – RICHARD MEWHA, EL PRESIDENTE
