CORETIS DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING –
All signals picked up by microphones, conference and interpreting systems have to be processed and redistributed in different directions – for instance to loudspeakers, recording equipment or video conferencing systems. beyerdynamic introduces Coretis - a flexible, digital interface designed exactly for this purpose. 12 analogue inputs and 8 analogue outputs make Coretis flexible for almost any application in professional installations. Additionally, there are 8 digital input and output channels available via the AVB network.
The fixed DSP structure and the simple but very extensive user interface enable a fast and sophisticated configuration. The integral 20 x 16 audio matrix allows versatile audio routing, whilst an auto mixer, leveller, ducker and equalizer can be configured and are clearly displayed with status.
The integrated AVB network switch allows connection of several Coretis units or other AVB capable devices without having to acquire external AVB switches. External interfaces such as RS232, TCP/IP and 8 GPIO each allow the connection to media control systems and remote control elements.

Features that speak for themselves The key advantages of Coretis at a glance
Ease of Use Coretis provides a logical and easy-to-understand DSP structure. No programming of the DSP layout is necessary, as the intuitive graphical user interface is designed to show an overview of the activated DSP functions and the matrix status. All DSP parameters can be easily edited via the matrix view, whilst a rotary encoder on the Coretis front panel allows direct access to presets and volume control.
20x16 Audio Matrix The large 20x16 matrix gives the user the flexibility to cover most applications - each physical input and output can be allocated individually to each of the integral matrix channels.
Signal Processing Coretis provides a large number of integrated audio processing functions such as a mixer with four level and mute groups each, gain sharing auto mixer, 4-band parametric equalizer, high and low pass filter, ducker, leveler, compressor/limiter and delay.
Presets All system parameters can be individually selected, modified and integrated into convenient selectable presets. Additionally beyerdynamic provides a wide range of pre-programmed ready to use presets for basic applications.
AVB – Digital AudioNetwork Coretis comes fitted with a sustainable, digital network audio port with a low latency. The integrated AVB Ethernet switch allows the sharing of audio with other AVB devices without needing a third party AVB switch. Cabling is reduced, because the traditional analogue cabling is not needed between devices.
Control & Monitoring The Control and monitoring software for Coretis is designed for Windows. Third party media control interfaces like AMX, Crestron and Extron can be seamlessly integrated via RS232. Coretis can be accessed from several computers or work stations simultaneously.
Without fan Coretis does not need a fan and runs smoothly. Therefore, Coretis can be used in conference rooms without any disturbing ventilation noise.
GPIOs & Logic Functions A large number of general purpose inputs and outputs are supplied as standard on Coretis. Programmable logic functions can be set to react on a multitude of internal and external events and control the system.
Made in Germany Coretis digital signal processors are developed and manufactured in Germany.
AVB – The Next Generation of Digital Media Transmission
Audio Video Bridging (AVB) is an IEEE network standard for the just-in-time, exact and prioritised transmission of audio and video files in a standard network environment. In order to transmit audio or video data fail-safe between devices, it is not necessary to install a separate network with its own switches, as it is with other protocols such as CobraNet. With AVB other data are also integrated in the “streams and transmitted. The general data does not disturb the audio and video transmission. One stream can contain one or several audio channels. The network of the building can be handled by the IT department as usual, whilst the management of the AVB stream is adopted by a controller. Coretis is provided with an integrated 4-port AVB network
switch so that there is no separate AVB switch necessary for smaller installations. The number of audio channels in the AVB network can vary: Coretis has four AVB stream settings. At the input (listener) and output (talker) the following configurations are integrated: Receive and transmit eight streams with one channel each, receive and transmit four streams with two channels each, receive and transmit two stream with four
channels each or receive two streams with four channels and transmit eight streams with one channel each. Network switches that do not support AVB and the IEEE 802.1 BA standard, only transmit control or general data. AVB audio and video data are not transmitted. This ensures a limitation of the media signals to a local area and prevents unauthorised listening.

Software The intuitive Coretis user interface provides an overview of all activated DSP functions within the entire system. The Matrix view gives the programmer a detailed picture of the status of all cross points, activated processing features and audio levels, whilst direct access to all parameters is possible by selecting a processing block in the matrix view. The actual parameters appear on the right side and are editable.
