I didn’t think much of it at the time, but when i went to Australia for a vacation i met a lot of them, and they seem to use swear words as commonly as ‘the’ or ‘a’. 2)Either very accepting or very racist. For some reason the Australians that i met are either very accepting or very racist. There was no middle ground. I met Australians who openly invited me to events or to join in whatever they were doing even though i had just met them, and some who spoke to me only in racist slurs. We are so enclosed in our own world of work and leisure, we don’t even think of the country – and also the people even though there are more than 60,000 of them here as foreign workers. They think it is a dirty place and economically backward. The country does not have much to offer a holiday goer.
