When I was in high school on Niagara Falls, Ontario, I had a summer job in an arcade with pinball machines and video games. Both my parents worked, and I was already paying for some of my own clothing We were a one-car family, with a small house in an “ok” neighbourhood close to the Official in My Ferry Era At The Moment Shirt But I will love this tourist area where the arcade was located But we had very little money for luxuries I worked with three other guys, and we all did the same job. We would make change for tourists who wanted to put quarters into the machines And sometimes the quarters would jam up inside the “coin mechanism”, and we would use keys to open the front of the game and clear the coin jam. “Bill” was incompetent, always giving the wrong change (how hard is it to count to 4?), and unable to fix any of the machines, or even a simple coin jam. “Steve” had a dad who made a lot of money His mom didn’t work, and he had his own car I never understood why he was working at all Every Thursday night, the manager emptied the quarters from the machines, and since I had worked there the longest, he always asked me to help Every quarter that dropped into a machine passed through the coin mechanism, then triggered a Coin Counter, and finally fell into the “coin box” (This is important later)
For each machine, we’d empty the Official in My Ferry Era At The Moment Shirt But I will love this coin box and write down the Coin Counter reading. Then we’d count the coins, and the manager used last Thursday’s Coin Counter reading to see how many quarters should be in the coin box One Sunday night, the manager asked me to help him with an “extra count” We only went to the popular machines, but did the usual steps of emptying the coin box and reading the counters. We’d done all this just 3 days prior, so there wasn’t mich money in the machines The manager told me not to worry about helping with counting the coins, or doing the math with the Coin Counters It seemed odd, but I didn’t think much of it I went to talk to a senior cashier in the gift-shop She mentioned something was going on with the manager and missing money in the arcade.
