With the Annual Luncheon nearly upon us and the People Award nominations flooding in BFFF events manager Charley Price gives us a glimpse into her hectic schedule.

It’s a busy time in the commercial team as we put the finishing touches to our forthcoming Annual Luncheon which takes place on Tuesday 26 th November at the Hilton Park Lane, London.

We are looking forward to welcoming more than 800 members and their guests to the event and the last few jobs to be done include printing the place cards and seating brochure as well as briefing the production team, photographer and meeting with the team at the Hilton to ensure all details for the day are in place.

The next day, Wednesday 27th , we’ll be hopping across London to the American Express offices on Buckingham Palace Road for our Industry Forum. This free event really is a must-attend for members. We have spent the last six months working hard to secure a fantastic lineup of speakers including James Spicer of Kantar and Ged Futter, GSCOP expert from Retail Mind.

There’s also a lot of work going on behind the scenes planning our 2020 Business Conference and People Awards Dinner, which will take place on Thursday 5 th March at the Chesford Grange Hotel, Warwickshire.

It’s no mean feat putting together the programme of speakers for the conference. We’ve spent a lot of time developing some really excellent ideas, researching everything we need and talking to potential speakers before confirming the final lineup, which we are really happy with and very excited about!

Between now and Christmas we will confirm lots more detail for the event including exhibitors, menus, production plans, artwork for printed materials and entertainment plus much more to ensure everything comes together and runs smoothly on the day.

You can book your tickets for the Business Conference, People Awards Dinner or both now by visiting bffftickets.co.uk For more information and to see the programme visit our website www.bfff.co.uk.

Don’t forget entries are also open now for our Frozen Food Awards and People Awards: make sure you submit your entry before 13 th December 2019. Visit www.frozenfoods.co.uk or bfffpeopleawards.co.uk to enter.

We believe the opportunity to award excellence is one not to be missed and are delighted to be running both award schemes again this year - so don't delay getting your nominations in!

During the last few months we have spoken with several members about our awards and gathered invaluable feedback which has helped us make improvements where needed. After much debate and discussion we have updated our award categories in both the Frozen Food Awards and People Awards before opening for entries. Be sure to check them out today!

There is a lot of work involved collating entries and overseeing the judging process, which will begin in the new year, but both awards see us recognise and celebrate success across the frozen food industry and we really love putting these events together for that very reason.
