The musical centerpiece of this poignant program, The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace by Welsh composer Sir Karl Jenkins, was written to commemorate the victims of the Kosovo Crisis in 1999 and portrays both the horrors of war and the yearning for peace.In the last masterworks concert of the season, the Bach Choir and Orchestra, along with four guest soloists, are featured in this powerful and emotional performance. For the final concert of their inaugural year, the Bach Vocal Artists will present a program entitled “The Marriage of Music and Poetry” patterned after a Rollins College class by the same name taught for many years by Dr. Sinclair.
