SAVANNAH COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN
INTERIOR DESIGN & FURNITURE DESIGN PORTFOLIO
EXPECTED GRADUATION: JUNE 2024
As an aspiring interior designer and furniture designer, I want to help provide people with meaningful immersive experiences that help them make better connections with a space. To provide a sense of satisfaction in even the smallest details. By building on my knowledge of proven design theories like third place theory, biophilic design, and color theory and interlacing that with cultural aspects in a way that meets the needs of the users. My favorite part about design is that it is not like a mathematical problem that has one solution and one answer. It’s an expansive field of creativity where each idea matters or is a stepping stone to another. Designin can help create memories by elevating people’s lives.

The goal of this project was to redesign a table leg for a pedestal table in a way that makes the legs the focus point. After exploring table leg designs, the project asked the top of the table to be designed in a way that unifies it with its legs but at the same time doesn’t fight with it.
