Community Centre Design Studio iii | Material Studio | 2nd year - Sem 03 The studio was aimed to for material understanding and analysis. Site was a hypothetical site located at Shimla, India. Material used for this project is Slate Stone, which is the locally found material at Shimla.
The building was segregated into two zones: public facing the lake to get the maximum view and private. Public comprises of mainly ground floor - semi open cafÊ/restaurant, swimming pool, multipurpose hall First floor – library, gym. Private comprises of admin area, indoor sports, common central exhibition space, souvenir shops.

Concept/ Inspiration Inspired from the typical layout of the British colonial villa, merged with Indian context and explore Slate stone (local material found mostly in SHIMLA).

Handicraft Training Center Design Studio iv | Contextual Studio | 2nd year - Sem 04 The studio was aimed to study and understand how the community level historical local skills can be developed and how they reflect the culture of people living there. Site was located at Udaipur, India. Material used for this project is Stone, which is the locally found material in Rajasthan. There are different functional spaces provided for Working and learning classrooms for the local handicrafts such as stone carving, textile printing, miniature painting and leather weaving. With central exhibition space and souvenir shops around.
Concept/ Inspiration Inspired from the chhatri (umbrela) – top view of it is considered for the designing of various functional spaces. It is one of the important element of Rajasthan architecture style. Handicraft of the place is equally famous which is being considered for the deign.

Prathmic Kaksha – (Primary School) Design Studio v | Institutional Studio | 3rd year - Sem 05 The studio was aimed to study and understand the scale of different institutional building typologies and design a primary school which promotes physical and mental development of kids. Site was located in Agricultural University area of Anand, India. The campus was design in a way with the help of different volumetric spaces overlapping the open and closed mass to provide voids for indoor playing and multipurpose space for kids, that connects them to the outdoor activities as well. Classrooms for grade one to seven, library, computer lab, canteen, multipurpose central space, and closed multipurpose hall with indoor and outdoor activities, a playground, pickup and drop facility with parking and visitors waiting area.

Institutional - Construction Drawings Design Studio vi | Working Drawing Studio | 3rd year - Sem 06 The project is the extension of institutional project into construction drawings. It aimed at detailing out the design to a minute level, according to material and amending the proposal a bit to make a construct able building. The basic set incudes from site levels, building references, centerline, plinth beam, civil layout for ground as well as first floor with flooring, electrical layouts. Detail drawings for staircase, toilets, kitchen, canteen, and classrooms.

Dwelling For All Design Studio viii | Low Cost Housing Project Proposal | 4rd year - Sem 08 Design Studio with task of designing low cost housing in Ahmedabad, India for HUDCO Housing Proposal. The task was to select a Slum Area for its redevelopment and redesigning the dwellings for the betterment of lifestyle.
The challenge was to design dwellings for the section of the society whose income is lower then the median ones. The proposal has been modulated as per the guidelines and laws provided by HUDCO, LEED, GDCR.

High End Housing Design Studio viii | Housing Studio | 4rd year - Sem 08 The Project was based in the new developing context of Sama Savli in Baroda, India. The objective of this studio was to provide housing for people with high income financial conditions. Studio mainly focuses on the contextual understanding, user group and creating a large mass. Taking into consideration influence of climate on the design of dwelling units, their cluster and building elements. It also takes into account the factor of time and investigates how housing will evolve in future.

Urban Design Design Studio ix | Urban Design Studio | 5th year - Sem 09 The studio was aimed to study and understand the urban scale and design a public space for the city that enhance the beauty and identity of that town or a city. Site is located at the Muleshvar lake of Nadiad in the heart of heritage town. The project was about creating the public space and commercial spot to give a new landmark to the city in the new developing city. So the spaces created were more of the interests for the local crowd and every age group were considered, such as public park, walking and cycling tracks, play area, sports complex, market street and plaza, theaters and food courts as well restaurant with the lake view.

Thesis on Adoptable Built Forms Design Studio x | Dissertation | 5th year - Sem 10 Aim To create and Built an Urban livable space in a wasteland with the help of balancing the nature and sustainable infrastructure. Building a sustainable home and creating sustainable settlement is a need of Compact city patterns and urban consolidation have attracted considerable focus in recent years. Too often the Settlements planned today has been neglected in Sustainable planning point of view for next coming generations and through its own life. I consider that what makes a Settlement sustainable and explore the opportunities that provide to create more sustainable behaviors within homes in that particular settlement.
Proposed Site For Development of Integrated Township at AtaliKaladara in Dahej PCPIR Region, Gujarat GIDC intends to develop integrated township at Atali near Dahej in Gujarat on public private partnership format. The township will primarily cater to the need of industrial workforce engaged within PCPIR - Gujarat (Petroleum Chemical and Petrochemical Investment Region) and other industrial estates/Special Economic Zones/ industrial areas (considering existing, upcoming and proposed) located around Dahej.
For development of industrial infrastructure on PPP, GIDC has formed a Special Purpose Company (SPC) named Gujarat Industrial Infrastructure Project Development Company Limited (GIIPDCL) with IL&FS Infrastructure Development Corporation (IL&FS IDC) and IL&FS IIDC Fund. Integrated Township at Dahej is one of the flagship projects being developed by GIIPDCL.
Location & Connectivity: Atali Dahej, a chemical hub and port, is situated on the Gulf of Cambay in Vagra Taluka of Bharuch District in Gujarat. The nearest urban center for Dahej is Bharuch. Other major cities of Gujarat are Vadodara and Ahmedabad in Northern side and Surat in Southern side.
