CONCEPTUAL DIAGRAMS
સંકલન - A PLATFORM FOR ALL TRAVELLERS HOME
Sankalan means to unite people, amalgamation of elements. Sankalan is an abode discovered while exploring the grasslands of Blackbuck National Park, Velavadar. The house is perceived as a machan which is a shaded platform where one can take a pause and soak in the nature around. The pavilion thrives a community of like minded users who can observe and share knowledge and experience regarding wildlife. As the landscape gives a ‘humdrum existence’; the plinths were used to break the monotony and define different spaces. The roof was articulated with the use of bamboo which breaks the harsh sunlight and directs the vision to the wetlands. An open plan strategy was followed to design the sleeping quarters which were further demarked by shelving units, providing sense of privacy. In course of minimal perception of the built from the surroundings, the private quarters where sunken within the ground. Further this symbiotic relationship with the surroundings, the use of material as brick and bamboo was done.
The land has elements like contour (grassland), Babul tree and lake and they are positively dependent on each other.

WHO AM I?
DRAUPADI: THE EMPRESS FICTIONAL SPACES
Fictional Spaces studio’s final outcome started with choosing 2 movies which fall under same thematic area, Black Panther and Aquaman falling under ‘Traditionally rooted and Technologically advanced’. We made storyboards, views, isometric views to understand the process of making a view. We had to choose a character from the great epic MAHABHARATA by taking reference from the movies we choose, I choose Draupadi. We had to choose 5 major life events/activities of the character and make views of it with respect to the movies, majorly it was Black Panther.

IMAGINING STORIES
THE HOUSE, ANTI-GRAVITY EARTH
The Earth no longer wants us, She no longer pulls us towards herself. We have lost gravity, We, the human and human made things. We have learnt to live in this no gravity world. Our houses are attached to Prithviyan, the vehicle. We have objects which make our life easy, which help us in this anti-gravity environment. We have build our new world, in the existing one. We won’t repeat the same mistake again. We will have environmental friendly surroundings. We have fear of getting pulled to the space. Everyday we are thankful for being still here. Everyday we hope. We hope that maybe someday the Earth will forgive us.

DESIGNING A STRUCTURE
‘Designing a structure’ started with initially learning the basics of structures like the forces that act, the types of active structures and how a material works. We, then moved to an exercise where we had to design an form active structure with the material we had been working with (I had brick). Then, we designed a system and had to cover it 50%. Our final exercise was to design a program in Gulbai Tekra Locality. I designed a library. Our final deisgn problem was to design a structure in Gulbai Tekra locality, Ahmedabad. The site is an empty government plot besides Gulbai Tekra Police Station alotted for Anganshada (a small School for kids). There is a continued space alotted for government garden and police station. It is surrounded by existing Gulbai tekra Police Station, Gulbai Tekra BRTS. I had to design a public library for the people living in Gulbai Tekra locality (famously known as the ‘Hollywood’). We were given 250 sq. m. construction area. We had to design a structure with capacity of minimum 20 people, prefabricated structural elements, 1 material used for column and beam, one for roof, one for floor, one for wall. The construction on site should be during 1 month time period and upto plinth level construction can be done on site.
