WHY PUNE ? Pune, a city in the western state of Maharashtra is often referred with the title "Oxford of the East" for its educational offerings. It is one of the major education hubs in the country with close to 811 functional colleges. With a strong learning culture, at present the city is home to more than 3,00,000 outstation students. About 55% of enrolled students are from outside Pune & 6% are from outside India.
All Dimensions are in Meters.
Student life introduces to many new phases. Their personality is shaped by new experiences and surviving through the worst. One such experience is that of staying away from the family environment with arising difficulties such as personal helplessness, distress and emotional instability. Our design proposal puts emphasis on providing a confident environment by means of mizzling chimes. These chimes give visual and aural effect with their gentle and tinkling sounds being soothing and calming. It provides a peaceful yet attentive background. The harmony between wind and water brings positive energy and the sudden change of wind to water chimes brings excitement. Furthermore, their sound brings relief to a troubled or a confused mind. Also, the right balance between connection, privacy and individuality sum ups our design approach. The privacy of the habitants is attempted through a diverse system, providing them flexible sleep and study areas which could be altered to lounge spaces, encouraging social closeness at rooms. To create a socially-oriented and connected living experience, we incorporate various common areas, including a ground-level open courtyard along which the student units have been arranged, an open terrace and a connecting bridge. At the same time, the individual rooms, which seem to have the same character in plan, are all different due to their unique balconies and relationships to the outdoor spaces. In addition, through the incorporation of numerous smart design features such as natural ventilation, LED lighting, solar panels, rainwater collection system the project functions as an example of living sustainability.

FOR AN ARCHITECT, BY AN ARCHITECT
BEACH HOUSE, SOUTH GOA
“Mastering the stress in Architecture.” Zaha Hadid once said, “If you want an easy life, don’t be an Architect”. Whatever the exact context was, from which this quote originated, it seems to be true for a handful of reasons.

The greatest challenge that an Architect face, is the complexity of architecture and the difficulty to manage that complexity throughout the various stages of the design and construction process. Too much complexity at a time can lead to stress, disturbance, and turmoil. Crafting designs, developing visualizations, holding presentations, creating plans and construction drawings takes a lot of time. In addition, managing and dealing with often unrealistic deadlines has an inherent potential for the occurrence of stress. The permanent loop of work makes it dangerously easy to get into a circle of stress and pressure. The risk of getting lost in front of your screen and within the constraints and the hustle of a project is constantly present. The permanent loop of work makes it dangerously easy to get into a circle of stress and pressure. The permanent loop of work makes it dangerously easy to get into a circle of stress and pressure. The risk of getting lost in front of your screen and within the constraints and the hustle of a project is constantly present. At the end of the day, when one is back “HOME” everything done or not done is a choice for either a healthier or an unhealthier behaviour. This proposal of a Beach House is for an Architect who is always occupied and strssed with work as it is said, if you can raise somebody’s level of positivity in the present, then their brain experiences a so-called happiness advantage, which is simply when your brain is positive it performs significantly better than it does in negative or stressed conditions. Your intelligence rises, your creativity rises, your energy levels rise.

The word ‘modern’ means relating to the present, so when we talk about modern house, we refer to those that are built according to the latest trends. The beauty of this design lies in its boxy nature with flat roofs, grid windows and industrial features.

FURNITURE DESIGN
Let’s Reuse & Reclaim
“Irresponsible living doesn’t take away our responsibility as humans.”
Construction Process:
Collection of plastic waste in bins
Using shreder to shred plastic waste
Mixing resin, hardener and plastic shreds in moulds
Cutting out the slabs as per requirements
Joining the plastic resin slabs either by epoxy glue or nut bol fixing
Plastic is a ubiquitous pollutant with a global production growing exponentially every day. 80% of this waste ends up in our oceans polluting marine habitats, threatening ecosystems. We don’t consider this as a major issue as it doesn’t affect us directly. The design and installation attempt to change this mindset of people and make them understand the importance of reusing this plastic waste. We take the public bus stands across the world as our site because, with the ever-rising oil price, the ever-worsening traffic, more and more people are forced to choose the bus as their primary transportation. Bus stops have become indispensable in the daily schedule of many city commuters. As life is changing, bus stops will improve as well. The furniture is designed based on fast construction and easy setup. An idea of using flexible yet durable urban furniture which will turn and also be seen as an art form made out of waste. Enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the place and overall experience of people, this design too goes for comfort, durability, and accessibility. The furniture is more than just a sitting module. It lays focus on more ways for the user to interact with it like relaxing and luggage keeping. As designers, we focus on providing a universal design concept that makes everyone comfortable and helps connect people through the breaks separating the furniture module.

PLAN OF THANDA BURJ DARSHINI GATE: WAY TO THE WORSHIP AREA
TYPES OF DOMES USED WITH GOLDEN FLUTE ON THEM WHICH IS A PROMINENT FEATURE OF SIKH ARCHITECTURE
ARCH DETAIL, ALONG THE PARIKRAMA
PROJECT DETAILS:
Project Name: Thanda Burj Project Type: Religious Location: Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab On Ambala-Ludhiana National Highway no. 1 and is well connected through road linkages to other cities. of Punjab as well U.T. Chandigarh Site History: Gurdwara Mata Gujari also known as Gurdwara Burj Mata Gujri forms part of the main Gurdwara complex of the city called Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib. Three sacred shrines are, in fact, situated on the same mound of ruins of the old Fort of Sirhind. The Thanda Burj (the thick walled & cold tower& used to be a high tower built at a bend of the rampart of the Fort. Owing to its exposure to wind currents from all directions and to a water current from below it was a pleasant resort for the faujdar to spend his hot summer afternoons. In winter, however, it was intolerably cold. When Mata Gujari and her grandsons were brought to Sirhind as captives in the cold season (8 December 1705), they were detained in this Tower.
