Market Insights | First Quarter of 2022

Ken Willis SOUTH CAROLINA BROKER IN CHARGE 701 Bay Street | Beaufort, SC | 29902 2 Harbor Drive | Harbor Island, SC 29920

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off 2022! We are so proud of the success of our company and our agents. We are now ranked number 46 worldwide in the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices global network, one of the world’s fastest growing residential real estate brokerage franchise networks, with more than 50,000 real estate professionals and more than 1,500 offices throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, The Bahamas, Europe and the Middle East. It’s easy to understand why the demand for real estate across the Lowcountry is so high. Beaufort was selected by Southern Living as The South’s Best Small Town of 2022 and we couldn’t agree more! We are still in a seller’s market, with more buyers than sellers, and nearly everything selling at full price. A recent report from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) finds that over 86% of buyers agree homeownership is still the American Dream. We predict that home prices and rates will continue to rise throughout the year... So the longer you wait, the more it’ll cost you. With today’s real estate market moving as fast as it is, working with a trusted real estate professional is more essential than ever. That may be why the percentage of people who list their houses on their own has reached its lowest point since 1985. We are here to support you in selling, buying, looking for investment properties, considering renovations or connecting you to our network if you move across the country. Please enjoy this quarterly report on our market. We look forward to hearing from you.
