Bartlet the cat loves his house.
He loves his special, cozy cushion on the window seat. The cushion has just the right amount of lumpiness.
Bartlet’s humans don’t know that sometimes he sneaks into forbidden places when they are not home.
Sometimes, when no one is looking, Bartlet likes to tease Buddy, even though Buddy is really Bartlet’s friend.
Bartlet especially loves a full laundry basket!
Bartlet is so excited today because the humans finally figured out how much fun boxes are.
The humans keep bringing boxes in the house. What a great way to decorate!
Buddy and Bartlet like to play hide and seek in the boxes.
The humans are playing a game putting things in the boxes. Buddy and Bartlet like to dump out the stuff the humans put into them. Humans sure can be grumpy sometimes.
Bartlet’s Cushion
The humans put Bartlet’s favorite cushion in a box and taped it up, so we can’t dump it out.
They carried the cushion box to the car.
Oh no! Bartlet is affraid that the cushion is going to visit the vet! I hope the cushion doesn’t need to get a shot!
Something is not right. A big truck just came and they are loading all of the boxes onto the truck! They even put Buddy’s cage in the truck.
That’s fine for Buddy, but Bartlet decides he is NOT going! Buddy said, “We are moving. Birds fly to new places all the time. It’s no big deal.”
Bartlet is NOT going. He likes his house; he likes his sunbeam; he likes sleeping on the window, even if his cushion from the window seat is gone.
Bartlet doesn’t want to move, but he doesn’t want to be all alone in the house.
Bartlet loves Buddy. He also loves the humans.
The humans tell Bartlet that he can ride in the front seat of the car. They promised that they will not stop at the vet. He might even get treats in the car on the way to the new house.
Buddy and Bartlet like the new house.
Bartlet found a new special spot with a sunbeam.
They even found a new friend next door.
