ISOLAMES® are made of high flexibility LLOYD n° 05/30012 (E1) laminated copper layers, coated with UL n° E301342 black coloured, self-extinguishable insulating PVC compound. Technical characteristics They are used in:
Laminated Copper Strips
1-Low voltage power distribution Connections of switchboards, panel boards, transformers and busbars. 2-Industrial applications, controls Connection of industrial machineries, motors, control panels, processing units and power supplies.
Product Features Wide range of cross section, from 21 to 1200 mm². Various laminated copper layer widths enable connection on all main apparatus and copper busbars. High dielectric strength. Limited temperature rises compared to cables or non-insulated copper bars. High flexibility enables bending by hand. Space saving: ISOLAMES® bend radius is smaller than equivalent copper cable one. Standard delivery length: 2.00m. Also available on request: - Tin plated copper strips. - Halogen-free insulation material. - Longer bars (up to 4m).
Compliance with NFA 51050 standard. Electrolytic copper annealed Cu-ETP (state 0): 99.9% Cu. Resistivity 1.724µΩ cm²/cm (100% IACS) (NFA51100). Vickers hardness: <55 HV. Maximum tensile strength ≥ 200N/mm². Elongation ≥ 30%.
Insulation Polyvinylchloride (PVC). Self-extinguishable, class CR2-C2 (NFC 32070, IEC 332-1) - UL94V0. Colour: black. Application by extrusion or heat shrinking. Hardness SHORE A: 85A NFT51109 Oxygen index: 25.0% (ASTM D 2863-70). Dielectric strength: >20kV/mm. Elongation after 7 days ageing at 136°C: >200% (UL). Maximum tensile strength>16Mpa. Maximum elongation: 365% (NFT 51034).
Product features Operating temperature at core surface: -40°C to +105°C. Operating voltage range: 1000V max. Dielectric strength for 15 min before flashover (50Hz): Between layers and ground applied on insulating material surface >15 000 V. Between 2 conductors with insulation in contact >30 000 V. Comply with UL 67, 1581 and 83 Comply with RoHS European directive
Current and Temperature rating of ISOLAMES® They have different current flow capacity depending on copper cross section and dimensions. Attached bar and drawing indicate bar heating created by current flow value for each ISOLAMES® bar. Taking into consideration your needs for: • Current flow value (A) • Acceptable bar heating (∆T) • Acceptable copper layer width (W), select the correct ISOLAMES® bar for your application. Bar Heating (∆T): Ta = Tc + ∆T. Ta= bar temperature when crossed by current flow (A). Tc = Cabinet internal temperature. ∆T = Bar heating. Important Note: Maximum Ta ≤ 105°C
