Your support allows us to enrich lives, build community, and inspire Jewish journeys.

The Mittleman Jewish Community Center is the home away from home for thousands of individuals and families in the Portland area.

As a nonprofit, we rely on gifts above and beyond membership dues. Membership, program fees and rentals account for only 86% of our annual revenue, and we are dependent upon donations and grants to make up the difference.

Your gift of any size is needed and appreciated.

Your generous tax-deductible donation to the MJCC supports:

• New equipment in our fitness center, gymnasium and studios;

• Expanded programming for youth and young families - our key strategic priorities in our new strategic plan;

• Cultural and holiday programming that puts the “Jewish” in MJCC;

• Need-based financial assistance for membership and Day Camp to ensure that no one is ever turned away due to an inability to pay; and

• Competitive salaries to retain staff and trainers that are the face of the JCC.

Over the years, our programs and services have evolved and expanded, but our mission remains unchanged - to be an inclusive and welcoming hub for a diverse community, fostering lifelong wellness and providing dynamic social and educational experiences, grounded in Jewish values and culture.

Ways to support the J:

• DAY FOR THE J: Pickleball, Racquetball, Swim and Walk for the J. You can participate or sponsor an athlete. More info at oregonjcc.org/DayfortheJ;

• Donate $360 or more to the J’s Annual Campaign and become a member of “The Friends of the Center Society.” Members receive invitations to exclusive events and programs throughout the year;

• Donate appreciated stock or a minimum retirement distribution and avoid capital gains tax (please discuss with your tax professional);

• Become a Sustaining Member for $1800/year (tax deduction depends on your membership cost);

• Add a monthly donation to your membership; and

• Join the MJCC Legacy Society. You can support the JCC with an afterlife gift from your will, trust, retirement plan, IRA, or life insurance policy.
