X-Golf Rapid City owner and general manager Mike Thibault said his facility’s intent sets it apart from others in the area.

“This facility is built to be primarily indoor. That’s its whole existence,” said Thibault, who opened the business in April 2022. “The best way I describe it is, it’s a 9,000-square-foot sports bar that you can play a sport in.”

X-Golf Rapid City, located at 2200 North Maple Dr., Unit 458, offers the highest technol - age practice, along with a putting green. They also added a golf simulator, which has been busy throughout the winter months. ogy golf simulators to create the most authentic indoor experience all year. Its research and development department spent more than 15 years using laser, light, impact, and camera sensory technology plus custom-built 3-D graphics software to create the most realistic environment possible. Its state-of-the-art facility features personalized lockers, full food and bar menu, golf leagues, and lessons from PGA professionals. Food and beverage items range from steak tips to mozzarella sticks and pizza, along with a full-service bar featuring selfpour tabs.

The clubhouse has a pro shop for most of your golfing needs, and a very good food and drink menu for after a round of golf.

Rates run $34 for nine holes, and $64 for 18 holes. These prices include use of a cart. Newcastle dress code does not allow sleeveless shirts for male golfers. Golf attire is preferred, but collared shirts are not required.

Men’s Day is Thursdays, all day, and Ladies Day is Wednesday at 9 a.m., and 5:30 p.m.

Monday-Thursday: $35 per hour 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; $45 per hour 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. with up to six people per bay.

Friday: $45 per hour 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with up to six people per bay; $55 per hour 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. for 18 holes.

Saturday: $55 per hour all day, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for 18 holes.

Lessons currently center on swing analysis with a PGA pro and will later change to the V-1 training program. Rates are $80 per hour.

Club fitting rates are $100 per hour. Thibault said parts of that may be deducted from purchases if a person decides to buy clubs from that fitting.

Online options allow golfers to book tee times at the simu - lators, host events, compete in leagues, and take lessons.

Membership options are available for individuals and corporations alike.

Rates are per simulator, per hour. Those booking their appointment will be able to add 30 minutes.

Business hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Friday, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Thibault worked in federal law enforcement and in the Army before his current venture. He said he wanted something that was easier on his body.
