Noyan Drawing on Board W:17 H:27 in 2021 Carina Imbrogno

Noyan is an adorable little boy I'm watching grow up on social media. He lives overseas with his parents and I have become good friends with his father. I drew Noyan putting him in a winter scene. I couldn't get over how adorable he looked in his winter gear and I just had to draw him. My inability to ever have children of my own draw me to depict these type of images.

The Erasing of History Painting, Acrylic on Canvas W:48 H:48 in 2020 Soraida Martinez

I am a contemporary American artist of Puerto Rican heritage born 1956 in Harlem, New York City. I am also a social advocate/activist who since 1992 has been known as the creator of Verdadism, a form of hard-edge abstraction in which every painting is accompanied by a written social commentary. For over 30 years, I have been raising awareness of racism, sexism, stereotyping, ethnocentrism, and the injustices in American society. Through the art of Verdadism, I document my own life experience and my personal views on the universal human condition. My hope is to promote tolerance, inclusion, diversity, and positive social change.

Fragility Painting, Oil Color on Canvas W:45.72 H:60.96 cm 2023 Brandy Donze

"Fragility" highlights the fragility of humanity and rendered in the style of realism. "Fragility" juxtaposes hard shadows with dramatic lighting with soft organic forms of the hands holding the sea shells. This painting reminds us that we started as simple life in the oceans; as life became more diverse, we shed our "shells" to become more vulnerable but powerful.

Ghost Herd in the Sky Painting, Mixed Media on Wood W:20.32 H:20.32 cm 2022 Bailey Roman

“Ghost Herd in the Sky” is a play on the infamous country song and the Texan folk lore of the Stampede Mesa. The story tells the tale of a cowboy set in his ways with no remorse which inevitably causes his own demise and the demise of his colleagues. Ultimately this decision was repeated by other trail men ending with the same results. This piece of land was deemed as cursed instead of a naturally hazardous trail. The lessons of this tragedy and legend can be used as a cautionary change for the climate change and the devastating impacts of ignorance and apathy.

Concerto Dream Painting, Oil Color on Canvas W:36 H:36 in 2023 Jeff Newman

My dreams are a mystery to me, mysteriously reflecting life and emotions that often leave me wondering why I dreamt them. These paintings interpret the images and thoughts that occur when I awaken. I use various styles of painting that I’ve studied such as cubism, impressionism, surrealism, abstractionism, and expressionism — combined with atypical pigments and color theories. It’s very important to me that my paintings have a signature look that’s uniquely my own.

Coral Photography W:8 H:12 in 2023 Alex Rice

I express my work through film photography. This piece is from my first solo trip over seas and I wanted to capture quite peaceful moments. I thought coral would be a perfect submission for this since they are over looked yet so important to the ecosystem.
